Dear Yogis,
The weather is all over the place but we don’t do yoga in the rain and the cold – I do have heaters and carpets on the floor, so please come. It seems that a few have come down with a winter version of Covid… so take care, and take your preventative doses of Vitamin C and zinc no matter what.
Those of you who have an olive tree, or know someone with one (or come here) please make some olive leaf extract – it makes the stuff you buy at Coles or the Chemist Warehouse taste like “lolly water”. I have used the tincture I make myself throughout this covid time, and I find it fabulous. I started using it before covid to ease my usual winter chesty feeling and evening cough (when the temperature drops). I am sure if you too have that closed up, chesty feeling with covid it would be super useful.
All you need is olive leaf chopped up (not in a blender or thermomix which both take all the energy out of the plant and just leave a heap of mush), covered with vodka, and left for a month or so. The darker the liquid becomes the better. Strain and keep in a cool dark place. Keep a little dropper bottle of it near the sink, and take it when you remember, or need it. About 4+ drops under the tongue or in water. Start a new batch today if you haven’t some so already.
NEEDLE AND THREAD TIME
I have been sewing, sewing and have heaps to do. Last week I had a client come with a pair of beloved trousers with an attached skirt which were showing their age. I bought a dress at the op shop in toning fabric and fixed the trousers, and made an overskirt from what was left of the dress. It looked fabulous on, and I will get a photograph for you when she sends one.. I have an order for more (of course).

Our new RESTORATIVE yoga class started Sundays at 4.30. Because I only teach a maximum of 5 students at a time, you may not be able to swap and change every time, but it does mean that if you can’t come on Wednesdays, you can replace it with a Sunday Class. If you want to secure your place please email me or go to www.yogabeautiful.com.au for details.
