Hi there yogis,
Last year the walnut harvest came in at 6 nuts, that’s all the tree produced.  I am hoping for a greater harvest this year.  I do have plenty of walnut wine and walnut liqueur but my walnut tincture is at a low ebb, so I am watching and waiting for the flowers and shoots for my Bach Therapies (and for some for you if you too are waiting for a harvest – 50ml $50 including postage.  That would be enough for a year at the very least, maybe longer).   The photo is one I took.  The shoots look too decorative don’t they, but that’s what you are looking for.  Remember to wear gloves when you pick as walnut contains an iodine like chemical (used to counteract radioactivity in the Ukraine where they are suffering under Putins attacks and can neither afford nor access pharmacological remedies.)

Walnut helps with protection from change and outside influences.

Walnut can be used:
For new beginnings – (it has been called the “link breaker” because it helps us let go of the old, and to accept the new): Starting school, moving, new relationships, marriage, divorce, jobs, way of life etc.
For new phases in life: pregnancy, birth, puberty, menopause, death, etc. To keep you following your own path – it helps you to be true to yourself – your beliefs and ideals without being influenced by the ideals and opinions of others.
For protection – to feel safe and protected against other people’s energies, outside influences/ interference, decisions/choices, and protection from environmental causes (allergens/pollutants).
To help adjust to changes: career/job, unforeseen circumstances/situation, family dynamics/relationships, time changes, seasons etc.

“For those who have definite ideals and ambitions in life and are fulfilling them, but on rare occasions are tempted to be led away from their own ideas, aims and work by the enthusiasm, convictions, or strong opinions of others. The remedy gives constancy and protection from outside influences.”  The Twelve Healers and Other Remedies, by Dr. Bach

YOGA CLASSES AND STUDIO TIMES…..

Windarring Yoga –  Tues. x 2 +Thurs. x 1. (some Fridays)

STUDIO YOGA WOODEND: Monday Hatha 1pm (full) 2.15 Wed. Restorative 1pm.

TAROT READINGS AT THE STUDIO – Look forward to hearing from you.  You can even come on the weekends, and I can do “doubles” – you and mum, maybe you and a friend.

THE YOGA LUNCHEON:  As always the last Saturday in the month.  The next at 12noon the 28th October – PUT IT IN YOUR DIARY NOW.. I have booked for us to go to  The Full Moon in Woodend.  Warm, “homey” and great food. I love the Nachos – with chicken – with prawns – vegan, or Mexican.  Any of them are great.

“re.MAKE” –    UPCYCLING, RENOVATING.
If your treasured items need re-imagining and mending, come see me – please make an appointment first.. I am pretty well booked until the end of October (unless you are a regular who needs a skirt/pants tweaked), so keep that in mind. SEWING BEE SUNDAY AT 2.30 at my studio, 37 Morris Road, Woodend.

I have just finished the (stunning) evening outfit to the left which  I constructed from three items which had gone out of fashion but made of fabulous material which is so hard to source.  I am very pleased with it, and I think it looks rather sexy. Most of the work was done by hand.  I did use a machine for the long straight seams as there is a considerable amount of material in the skirt and underskirts, although the bindings, french seams and lace are all oversewn by hand.

I will include photo when it is accessorised, the collar with bow and bling,  and on the way to the ball.  I am working on a quilt at the moment, and have an Empire line wedding dress waiting to be done.  Need your clothes reimagined, reconfigured? I would love to help.

STEAM PUNK PARADE – this is still on the drawing board and we are in discussions with the Full Moon Saloon.  I want to include young designers, sponsor a prize for a new talent, and perhaps morph into a Sewing Bee style competition..  Watch this space and keep on stitching!!!!

SEE YOU IN THE STUDIO (and at the yoga lunch at the end of the month)

NAMASTE – JAHNE
