YOGABEAUTIFUL NEWS from THE STUDIO, WOODEND.

THE YOGA CLASSES:

I really love my yoga classes. More and more in fact as those people who really need and want yoga come to class. Thank you.

From time to time I am sure we all feel like skipping class?  After class today I was speaking with a client who comes AFTER CLASS with a litany of health problems and doesn’t come to class. They are well enough to walk to the hall, and to spend time talking about their needs and wants, but not well enough to come to class. I will feel such a great surge of success when eventually she turns up ready for class. As we discussed. It is not about looking in the mirror after class and seeing a thinner or younger you, it is about just doing it, and after time experiencing a better life – change of the best kind. Easier walking, easier thinking, easier decision making (easier pooping?).…

A KOMBUCHA CLASS.

It hardly takes any time at all to make your Kombucha (for those people who don’t think they have time. My microwave boils the water and dissolves the sugar, and apart from decanting the brew, this is about as hard as it gets! My last batch was quite strong, and over that few warm days I added mineral water and it was fantastic. One time I even added Rose’s Limejuice. Even better. I am going to do that again.  By the way – I loaded a new book to ETSY this week.  THE YOGA OF KOMBUCHA.  This includes herbs, and crystals you can add to the brew, the sets out how it can benefit the energy centres of the body.  To get the book go to www.myyogabooks.etsy.com

ART HEALS new art site:  www.jahnehopewilliams.net

If you are interested in classes and workshops please log on to….www.jahnehopewilliams.net.  I am progressing well with my BUDDHA PROJECT. A Buddha a day, and as you know, I am also teaching painting.

TUESDAYS from7pm- 9pm   COST $250 for 5 classes – or $50 per session

All materials will be provided.

By the end of the class you will have a unique image to take home, and frame to put in your own meditation room. Maybe good enough, stunning enough to be an heirloom. No painting experience needed. If you are nimble enough to sign your own name, you can do these classes.

SATURDAYS AT 9am (followed by yoga at 10am)   Cost $30 per ART session – yoga extra.

SUMII (ZEN YOGA) BRUSHPAINTING – “ONE BREATH ONE LINE”

This is the traditional painting on rice paper.   Grind the ink, use the brush, paint the painting….. Sounds easy, BUT as in yoga, the foundations are everything. People who follow the class with a yoga session are more concentrated, more focused.

THE ALCHEMIST ART STORE in Sunbury.

Our demonstration was last Saturday 13th October at 4pm. (The store is in the same shopping centre as Aldi in Gap Rd. Right next door to the Asian Food store). It was fantastic – about 10 in the audience, and I was able to demonstrate (and the class was able to play) with materials that the store stock and I have used for many years. Thank goodness for the Alchemist.  If you came to class, or you are interested in miniatures, egg-tempera, or oil pastels and gilding, please come to my home studio classes and learn the finer points. I teach the methods used by DaVinci and Cellini – who taught “decorum” alongside painting. Good combo!  The Alchemist stocks all the fabulous materials I use.

THE LATEST ART SHOW at my studio on Sunday the 25th November between 2 and 4pm.

This will be the first time in years I have held an exhibition in my studio. It will be just like a European “vernissage”. My work, a private view with nibbles and champagne. An art “happening” in the comfort of my studio. Come along, have a look at the artwork, spend time in the garden. A beautiful afternoon talking art (and yoga).

THE UNITING CHURCH.

What a great lunch we had today. Asparagus rolls, mixed sandwiches, a selection of soups, a selection of cakes and bread – and all free, supplied by The Uniting Church.

Come to yoga at 11am, then come to our COMMUNITY LUNCH on Mondays at 12 noon, followed by 1pm meditation – and if you are having a struggle to make ends meet, then come and shop at THE FOOD BANK (they have things like coffee, trail mix, soup, powdered milk…) amazing things that you will use and need – the usually expensive things. Please don’t come thinking “someone is worse off then you”. This will always be the case. If you need help, please take our help. If you don’t use the food in the food bank, guess what, it will probably be used as animal food or trashed.   These items are such a help, please, please become a “customer” otherwise the doors will close (that applies to the FREE yoga too).

ETSY, ETSY www.myyogabooks.etsy.com

I write books to help you. Please download them, and then please use them in answering your modules. Please never imagine that I don’t read your modules – I do. If you misquote, I will pick it up. What will you find on ETSY? YAMAS, CHAKRAS, HYPERMOBILITY, THE FIVE TIBETANS AND TEMPLATES and more. There are lots of books there to help you in your progress to graduation. If you do your course WITHOUT reading the hypermobility books, you will find your work being questioned.

EMAIL/POST:  Please use the email address  yogafirst@optusnet.com.au  for anything to do with accounts,  or the usual yogafirst2@bigpond.com. to get to me. If you do want to speak to me personally, then email, make a time suitable for both of us, and then we can chat.  If you do it this way, rather than just “wing it”, you can be reasonably sure I have time, and you will get my attention.  POSTAL ADDRESS is not at my home –Please address all land mail to PO Box 14, Mt.Macedon.  Vic. 3441.  Until you see a change written here in large letters, that is where it will be.
