Dear Yogis,
THE YOGA CLASSES – please book before you arrive. They are small classes and one unplanned extra may not be able to join
Remember when I was wondering whether anyone was out there reading this newsletter – well, a number of times this weekend, people have actually reached out to me to assure me that they not only read it, it is special to them – so I will keep on writing. I had a friend called URANDA who gave his “lessons” (Seven Steps to the Temple of Divine Light) to his horse, and for TEN YEARS only the horse came to class. One day a “real” student (Lord Cecil) happened to drop in and was so impressed and had so many contacts he shared Uranda’s message with, that 5o years on it is still being heard by people around the globe.
DOWNSIZING YOUR WARDROBE….
We all want to make a difference to the environment while looking great. There are a number of paths you can take….but whichever you choose you need reduce consumption and make considered choices. The main problem is that we live in a maze of advertising which can make you feel overwhelmed and distrustful.
I believe everyone deserves to buy sustainably with confidence, however, especially after the covid disruptions, I understand that you might not know where to start, keeping in mind I can help you to care for your knitwear to make it last with style.
Here’s how you can do it:
- Choose what you need: invest with care, and mend – don’t throw away (giving only the excess to the op shops)
- Take pride in wearing your colourful, mended garments again and again. The photo is of one of my more “pictorial” darns.
- Darns are a symbol of pride in a garment and signal that this item of clothing is too precious to discard.. You can post precious items to me which need attention. To get a quote, Email with a photo and we can discuss. yogafirst2@bigpond.com.
