Dear Yogis,

It was a hectic weekend.  We had a Woodend Art Market on Saturday from 10am to 2pm.  It has been a very good experience for me, and nothing has changed.  It is still a very good experience for me, no matter who comes or how many. My clients visit and bring friends. If you want to visit the next one is the third Saturday in the month (I think).  Just watch this newsletter.

Today (Sunday) there was the yoga luncheon at noon at the Victoria Hotel in Woodend (thank you for all who came – it was great to see you all again – New faces too) , and then a fabulous yoga teacher training class at the studio – thank you to our models.  I hope we have many more of these.  We are going to have a new  teacher training group and a new PPT Massage training.  Let me know if either of these are of interest to you.

We are also going to have a zoom yoga class on Fridays.  The time will have to suit people around the country – I am not sure what that might be, but I think late afternoon.

Our CHI YOGA is doing wonders for the leg I pulled out of place in the fall I had a couple of months ago (I caught my foot under a pole whilst taking washing off the line).  The doc said no structural damage,  but since I have had a stiffness caused by congestion, and an ache from time to time, I have been making changes.  Yoga plus various energy therapies are helping enormously.  Surprisingly, using tuning forks and applying sound, the note “C”, is especially healing.  I am shortly going to use an ion cleanse. Electric acupressure also available.

Do you follow your dreams?   Years ago when I was getting into alternative therapies I had a wonderful dream which helped me enormously.  Last night I had a bigger version of the same dream.  I remember it in detail and love every minute of it.  Dreaming always informs and encourages me.  I believe in dreams and I go against them to my own detriment.

Dear Yogis,

Wow….Real fire weather and we have biggie in Benloch (the back of Lancefield) – not that far away as fire travels fast. There are 52 Vehicles responding at this point – they are trying to prevent it getting into the Wombat State Forest.  I was having friends around this afternoon but they are volunteer Firees, and so we had to postpone.

When I was in the garden this morning I wondered when the next fire would be… everything is so dry, and there is a wind.  Vic Emergency is urging people in lancefield to leave now – not the usual “watch and act” that we have been used to during the season.  At 4.07 the threat was reduced and the fire is under control… it was a scary afternoon.

NEW CLASSES.
I am very happy that we have new people to our classes, especially the “Chi” and “Chi-Chair yoga”.  Both are suitable for seniors and those in recovery.  All of my classes now incorporate some of the Chi Movements, especially the Wednesday class at The Norma Richardson Hall which is moving to a 10am start.

I did flag that there would be a new class on Friday.  This I have decided will be a zoom class at 1pm  STARTING THE 9TH MAY,  and it will be the Chi yoga with chairs if you want them or need them. Both options in the same class.

DONT FORGET THE YOGA LUNCHEON AT NOON ON THIS SUNDAY AT THE VICTORIA HOTEL IN WOODEND.

Dear Yogis,

Over Easter I followed the traditional Church services.  I knew that the Catholic services would be packed out, so I went to the Anglican Church (of course!).  On Saturday at the 6pm vigil there were only 9 people in the pews.  It was perfect, it was beautiful and until we got to the point where the lights could be switched on, the service was started in candle light.

Sunday was a bit better congregation wise, but really it was like an exam.  There was a big hymn book, a special spiral bound A4 hymn book, and an order of service with six unstapled pages.  Even then the readings could not be accommodated on paper.  It was not comfortable.

It was our Minister’s last day, next month the new minister arrives.  It feels like the Church is winding down…. apart from the Norma Richardson Hall which thanks to the Art Market is carrying the day.  I must say the congregations, the communities at both Churches are a big reason I go, but I love the simplicity, the order and the stability of the Catholic Church.  It’s like yoga.  They know where they are going.

++++This is the last week of the school hols, and from the 30th I have new classes starting based on the CHI, and tonite we will be talking about the Tibetan meditation called Tong-glen.
