MEDITATION AND BEEKEEPING

I have been waiting to be sure my garden is in good shape and stable and my wasps are under control.  I can now add the hive I have been waiting for.  You will remember that a swarm of wasps killed everything in my hive a couple of winters ago.

I was wondering if you would like to join me in this adventure as I build my hive(s) back up?  You don’t need a hive at your place, just being interested in learning more in case in the future you perhaps might get your own hive.  You would enjoy the classes and gets lots out of them.  I am also going to paint some BEE MINIATURES.. yes, on tea-bags.

I have spoken to my beekeeper and he has agreed to host a fortnightly class in our studio here where we can not only prepare the ground for the hive  in my yard, but in the process learn all about bees and their lifestyle, habits as well as their care.  Then learn how to deal with the various products as they are produced.  The honey the wax, etc. Even BEE MEDITATION –  I think it will be a fabulous journey.  Very Shamanic.

John Crutchfield my beekeeper (and our teacher for these classes) has been an apiarist for many years and one time travelled Victoria with more than 100 hives.  He still has hives in far flung places and puts the hives together himself.

Please email me and let me know, and we will organise a fortnightly class.  There is a lot to know. We could even explore recipes, crafts and cooking associated with honey.  Email me at yogafirst2@bigpond.com

“….in order to awaken young people’s consciousness to the importance of basic human values, it is better not to present society’s problems purely as an ethical matter or a religious matter.  It is important to emphasise that what is at stake is our continued survival”  (from ‘The Essential Dalai Lama – His Important Teachings”)

I WILL SEE YOU ON THE MAT.

NAMASTE.  JAHNE
