Dedicated to a tradition of excellence in teaching for more than 40 years, The Australasian Yoga Institute offers yoga teachers comprehensive and systematic training in classical yoga.  We teach yoga techniques for body, breath, mind and spirit in 200hr and 500hr certification programs.  Our programs include training in meditation, asana.

REGARDING THE OFFICE:

If you want to speak to office staff or me, we are available at odd times, but you can book a time suitable to us both.   To Talk Money/Accounts, speak to Jackey on Wednesdays at 9.30 to 1’ish.   Business hours: please Ph: 0354 273 518.  To get help directly from me, I am always available on the email and  am not always at my desk.  Don’t hesitate to email me and I will answer your email or text as soon as I can.

I have stayed away from the Facebook and the blogs because there is so much going on here.  When I get something written down,  it changes.  I am excited about the things that are happening, the opportunities that are being given to me…

YOUR MODULES   

Please understand that you are not the only person on the course – NAME, MODULE NUMBER AND PAGE NUMBER ON EVERY PAGE SENT TO ME PLEASE.   I  READ and mark each module, from every student and I do it myself.  That’s a lot of reading and lots of writing from and to a lot of students – and assures the personal touch that you signed up with us to achieve.  PLEASE HELP ME by numbering each page you send me,  and putting them in order.  Make sure all the pages are there, no drawings missing.  If you are a “12 page plus drawings” type of student, then post them.  

***TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:    IF YOU HAVE SENT A FIRST MODULE RECENTLY AND HAVE NOT GET A REPLY, YOU MAY BE THE PERSON WHO SENT IT TO ME WITH NO NAME ON THE ENVELOPE, NO NAME  ON ANY PAGE, AND NO WAY FOR ME TO KNOW WHO SENT IT….  COULD YOU PLEASE RESOND.

I try to imagine life without being able to speak to God, but none of the days without that special energy have the same laughter, or opportunities…..

$10 per class or 11 classes for $100 (save $10 = one class for free)

Enter through the Romsey Road gate, Park either side of the drive.

No need to bring props – mats etc unless you want to – everything is provided.

Monday:                 10am Mindfulness,  6.30pm Hatha

Tuesday:                 10am Restorative,  7.30 Hatha

Wednesday:            12.30 Hatha, 5.30 Restorative, 6.30 Hatha

Friday:                     5.30pm Meditation,   6.30pm Hatha Yoga   

Saturday:                 10am Hatha,  and 12.30pm Restorative

Sunday:                   4.30pm Restorative

 

NEXT TEACHER TRAINING CLASS –

The next will be on Sunday 6th November,  2pm to 4pm (followed by restorative yoga at 4.30) at the Bentinck – in the Yoga Room.  Please join us.  If you are a distance ed. student then the cost of the afternoon is $10.  If you are a visitor you are most welcome – and if you are not formally a student teacher with us then the cost is $20.    We have had the most wonderful trainings, there is nothing like them.  Please do come.

 

BENDIGO YOGA TEACHER TRAINING Master Class –  with Jahne, assisted by Jayne Boyle and Nerissa

If you want to get into Teacher Training – become the teacher you dream about,   Jahne goes up there for the master class every 2nd Tuesday.  It’s a great opportunity for personal yoga growth.

GARDENING

I have dropped this news as I didn’t get feedback – having dropped it,  people have been giving me feedback.  Thank you.

A few months back I purchased some big apple boxes and have been busy making them into raised garden beds.  They  are 4ft x 4ft x 4ft,  so they took a long time to fill – but  has been worth it. I used the layer no dig idea.    I wish the whole garden was as easy to maintain.  I have chives, nettles, cos, potatoes, rhubarb, perpetual spinach and parsley growing beautifully.  I sprinkled cress around and I can see the little shoots coming up.  No snails, no slugs, no possums.  So at the present I am overjoyed with the progress of the things I have planted and I am already harvesting. Raised garden beds are fantastic.  I have berries and big hardy things growing in the main garden.  They are also growing beautifully even though the water has been a challenge.  The pond has done its job and provided a central drainage point.  

I have also made the garden in the front of the house smaller by enlarging the parking spaces for you – no need to chew up the nature strip .     The contractor was Jordan Ramage from Bendigo.  He did the job very efficiently, and I recommend him if any of you out there need help.  He also fixed up my verandah very professionally.

Everything will change for you when you work out that there is plenty of time in every day to complete the important things.

 

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT – “JAHNE’S YOGA UNIVERSITY” 

All our classes are available via distance education and you can start any time..  Thank you to those students who are moving from their 200 to another, higher course.  Once you have got into the habit of learning, then it is easy to keep going….   Within our school there are three levels of YOGA TEACHER TRAINING, plus a course in the Gita, the fundamental source of all yoga teaching through the ages.
