I know that many of you don’t read down as far as the class times in the newsletter. It is easier to go straight to the web rather than have to email and ask.

The news art show is the PRIVATE showing at my place. I only have a small studio, So I can’t take you all at once. Please give me an email if I have forgotten to send you an invite and you want to come. My work will be at a super, super special price JUST FOR THE DAY. Come along: 37 Morris Road, Woodend. COST $250 for 5 classes – or $50 per session

All materials will be provided.

By the end of the 5 classes you will have a unique image to take home, and frame to put in your own meditation room. Maybe good enough, stunning enough to be an heirloom. No painting experience needed. If you are nimble enough to sign your own name, you can do these classes.

SATURDAY MORNINGS

I am still open to teaching on a Saturday morning at 9am. This is a one hour class where I will teach SUMII (Chinese/Japanese) brush painting. The cost of this class is $30. You are most welcome even if you haven’t done this before. It is also a great class for people wanting to work on their brush skills. All materials provided.

 

PRIVATE VIEWING

…of my art, at my studio on Sunday the 25th November between 2 and 4pm. This will be the first time in years I have held an exhibition in my studio, and it is a preview of the work in the print sets.   It will be just like a European “vernissage”. My work, a private view with nibbles and champagne. An art “happening” in the comfort of my studio. Come along, have a look at the artwork, spend time in the garden. A beautiful afternoon talking art (and yoga). If you are interested please contact me. It is a small studio, and the viewing will be by invitation.

The miniature pictured below is of a collectors edition Dior bag.  The bag itself is no Longer available except on collector sites – but you can have a painting….  I was amazed that some handbags (that look just like nice handbags to me) are $26,500 SECOND HAND.  There is months waiting time to get one of the shelf.  A wait list.  Some people like Victoria Beckam for instance have a wardrobe of them – one to match every special outfit!  Imagine what we could do at the food bank with $26,500!

You can see from the size of the image compared to the smallest brush I can buy, that these images are tiny.  Approximately 15mmx15mm,  You could buy this bag new for about $9,000, but I don’t think you can buy them other than at vintage sites now. The bag is hand painted leather, and DIOR.

When you buy a miniature you are making it possible for me to give that amount of free time at yoga and volunteering.

TUESDAY:                              7pm painting Class, The Home Studio.

WEDNESDAY:                    12.30 RESTORATIVE YOGA

5.30pm Gentle Restorative at home Studio. (Not accepting new students. Please email or text enquiries)

6.30pm Hatha at the home Studio.

FRIDAY:                                    3pm FREE (or by donation) YOGA AT THE UNITING CHURCH

Followed by access to Food bank with Jahne.           5.30 Restorative at Studio then.6.30pm Hatha Yoga at Studio

Yoga $20 per Class Or CLASS PASS – $135 per 10 CONSECUTIVE classes (students of the studio for 3 years or more).   New students: $165 per 10 class pass (normally $200) After 3 years as a student, the cheaper rate will apply.

 

UNITING CHURCH CLASSES (FREE or by donation)

Next door to the Police Station, Forest Road, Woodend.

Monday: 11am Hatha Yoga, 12noon lunch and 1pm meditation at Church.     Friday: 3pm Hatha Yoga

 

PARKING HOME STUDIO – 37 Morris Road, Woodend.

Please, Please – Park on white gravel in front of the studio. I had it made especially so that it would be easier for you! If there is no room, then park in the drive-way directly opposite in front of double grey garage rolladoors. Not in front of neighbours driveways please.

 

WASP SEASON

…….is now upon us. I put out my home-made wasp traps this week and have caught three queens a day. Three queens that didn’t find their way into my roof or walls as they did on previous years. Unlike bees, wasp queens go out searching to a place, and the workers join her. Catch the queens and you head off infestation. If we all did this, there would be less wasp problems. There are lots of books there to help you in your progress with yoga.      PENDULUMS/TAROT/TAROT POUCHES: All locked and loaded ready for you. Like any other store – if you want the best prices, the best items, you have to drop in often.
