Dear Yogis,

Many thanks for those who came to our yoga lunch on Saturday – we spent much longer at The Full Moon Saloon than usual – maybe we have found the perfect table.. right next to the piano and out of the way of noise…and cold winds (a vicious air con).

I spent the rest of the weekend Embracing Imperfection –
making “happy pants” out of unloved trousers.  Op shop clothes can have beautiful fabrics, but terrible style.  A metaphore for life.

Life is muddled, unstable and far from flawless. We should accept flaws and discover the magnificence and credibility in it. In Japan, this thought is known as wabi-sabi. Make-do-and- mend embraces this idea.  In your life,  you too can embrace simplicity and modesty.  Don’t run after material things you can do without, and mend those things (not just articles of clothing) that have served you well.  This will not only make your life easier and less complicated but also eliminate the feelings of insecurity and demotivation.
