Dear Yogis,
Easter Weekend, and raining… thank goodness. Off to Church this morning. A client was recently worried that I had forgotten the “true meaning of Easter” after I had neglected sending out “bunny and egg” cards. I don’t do Easter cards, I do church. See you there. I believe that going to Church (or contemplating the life of Jesus or other spiritual person of substance) gets to the heart of the Easter Celebrations, so that is what I do.
I will be at The Mount Macedon Gallery tomorrow morning (Saturday) between 10 and 1. If you want to pop by and have a chat, I will be happy to see you. At the moment I am considering working on some portrait/tea bag stitching if you want to drop in and check that I am really there, and not slacking off. What about a whole family of fabric portraits/silhouettes on tea bags? What a project that would be.
THE CHURCH? One of my lovely students at Windarring used to go to a little bible class plus singing with our last minister when she was here. She was a bit of a “Star”, made quite an impression and when she left suddenly, the students were heartbroken. EVERY DAY when I go to work they say “Have you spoken to her, has she sent a card, does she think about us”. I have sent messages via the Church and received nothing in return.
Last week an email was received along the lines that this “Minister” is hugely busy, has nine services over easter and a large congregation and hasn’t the time to worry about past clients! I thought this was a very interesting response, especially considering the image of Jesus rescuing the lost lamb – how much time would it take to dash off a caring email, or send a card! It doesn’t give one much confidence in the modern Church. Now I am heartbroken – not for the clients, not for me, but for the minister.

ZOOM WORKSHOP. Mondays at 6.30 on zoom. I am going to do the TEA BAG Preparation workshop for the herbal group NEXT MONDAY 10th April. It may take an hour, it may take more or less, but there is a charge $7.50. If you want to come next Monday and learn how to prepare the tea bags, the hop on to the web site, www.yogabeautiful.com.au go to the bottom of the home page and pay on pay pal. When I see your name pop up I will put you on the list and send you the ID NEXT MONDAY.
Please bring some used tea or coffee bags, a pair of scissors, an empty bowl, a bowl of water, and some towels to protect your keyboard if you are close to the computer. A paper and pen to take notes may be of advantage.
APPOINTMENTS IN THE STUDIO – I am available for massage, hand massage, Bach Flowers and Tarot in THE TAROT ROOM… you choose your combo and we will explore them together. $85 per session no matter how we put it together.

Recently I have been exercising my dressmaking skills. Making BORO jackets, mending, and repurposing evening dresses – even fancy patches. When you want to repurpose a favourite item of clothing, or even make a copy, then come see me (or email me a photo). If you want hand finishing, couture, fixing, mending….then I am your girl. If you want fast and cheap, then no not me – the person who does mending on the machine at any dry cleaners will help you – quickly.
