Dear Yogis,

We are getting ready for Christmas.  It is just around the corner.  Please remember, it is only one day.  It will come and it will go, and unless someone proposes marriage to you at Christmas Dinner, it will blend in to all the other Christmasses.

Relax, enjoy the day, and remember what it means.   It is not an excuse for stores to make money, it commemorates the birth of a person who for almost the first time, reminds you that your responsibility for the world is in your hands.  That we are all connected.  (People still are not listening).

If you get a chance to wander into a Church, the stained glass window I have painted here is in St.Mary’s Anglican Church in Woodend.  “Jesus the Light of the World”. He is standing near a door which He is waiting for you to open.

Please take care – there is a lot of sickness around.  Flu, Covid, tummy bugs and so in.  Christmas is a time when we could inadvertently catch or spread infections.  If you are unwell STAY HOME.  Just because it is Christmas does not make it “safe”.    I remember a Miss Marple mystery about a Christmas party that a lady attended even though she had German measles.  She was determined to go and wore an extra layer of make-up to cover the spots.  She spent time talking to a guest who was pregnant and thereby caused a child to be born with catastrophic birth defects. (an extreme example, but relevant).   As I said.  Take care.  Not just of yourself, please think of others.

Dear Yogis,

We had a great yoga lunch on Saturday – our last for the year. Folk absent due to flu, but a “newbie” so all is well.  Maybe you can join us in the new year…?

THE TAROT PICK FOR THE DAY…  Sometimes I pick from MOON CARDS, not just my own (I use the deck I am drawn to).  They are very simple cards – ask Dr.Google.  The card I have chosen for today is THE ORB.

What the Orb Means for Me Today

The Orb card reminds me of my infinite potential,  It is a welcome encouragement to pursue an opportunity for spiritual growth and self-reflection, embracing the challenges that come along with this spiritual journey,  stepping stones to a higher state of consciousness. It also serves as a reminder not allow yourself to put others onto pedestals or follow too closely what the group demands. Remain open to the wisdom of the universe and trust in the unknown, for it holds much untapped potential.

HOME FRONT:  I upgraded my set top boxes.  It was a bit of a trial, but it is done.  I lost all my beautiful recordings (trust no-one, although foxtel did say it was a “no-option” position).

Dear Yogis,

Don’t forget our last Yoga Lunch for the year this Saturday at 12 noon at the New Moon Saloon. Woodend.  Please let me know if you are coming if you haven’t already done so.

THE TAROT PICK FOR THE DAY…

Sometimes I pick from MOON CARDS, not just my own (I use the deck I am drawn to).  The card I have chosen for today is FIRST QUARTER MOON.  This refers to a new phase in my life, deepening commitment and encourages me to move forward with courage and positivity.  I have the power to transform this new way into something profound and exciting.  This card is a beacon of hope, transformation and joyful exploration.  It tells me to keep moving forward with courage and determination.  Have you chosen your card? (you can confer with Mr. Google)

HOME FRONT:

I like watching television and there have been memorable shows over the last couple of years which I have recorded BUT I am being forced to upgrade my set box, and I will lose them all.  There does not seem to be a way to save them – I will miss them and will look at the recording device on the new set box in a different way, and try to find way to record, the things I love in another way.  What a nuisance.

OPTOMETRISTS

My eyes have always been important to me, and I thought with good nutrition and yoga I was doing the best for them.  I thought the proof was that I am no longer sensitive to sunlight!  Yesterday I had my eyes tested, no measurable change since my last test 5 years ago!! How time passes, however, the optometrist said something in passing I needed to know.  She said that I should be wearing sunglasses because they protect my eyes against cataracts which can be grow when there is an abundance of UV interference in the eyes.  It is not just about sensitivity – it is PROTECTION.

So now I have taken my sunglasses out of the bottom drawer, ordered a new pair, and am very happy – Anna Wintour stand back.  Here is the new me.  I will photograph when I have my new sunglasses – please get yours out of mothballs. And make sure you are getting plenty of B1 and fish oil.
