Dear Yogis,

ZOOM:  WEDNESDAY.  RESTORATIVE YOGA 5.30, MINDFULNESS MEDITATION 6.45

THE STORE:  I have put the small, medium and large Pendulum Boards into our store  www.yogabeautiful.com.au and go to the store, and I am working on finishing the WOLF Pendulum Board as I have photographed here.  This will also be available in small,  medium and large.

These Boards can be used for pendulums and the WOLF BOARD can be used as a crystal grid for distant and self healing… it is more powerful than you think.  Once you make friends you will use it every day.

If you want to know how to make these boards come to our TAROT ART CLASS on Saturday afternoon at 2pm.  You can make a board to echo your own practice, use it with your tarot, your pendulum – or just hang it on a wall. You could make MINDFULNESS or AFFIRMATION CARDS… or just greeting cards using our quick and easy methods, even if you don’t think you are artistic.  ($50 for three classes).

YOGA&ART THERAPY COURSE

“We are alive according to the degree we are in contact with our fundamental nature, our essential self, our essence” – Cecil Collins

This course has been a long time in the coming (and making). In just 10 weeks you could learn how to bring a new dimension to your class or your one-on-one therapies… It includes zoom classes, and personal mentoring in zoom with me – this can happen in zoom classes, they can be very personal..

In todays world, especially during the covid lock downs or enclosures, we have the need to integrate art, yoga and ordinary life.  A number of my therapists (when I was the client) have integrated art with my healing.  It was most successful, and enjoyed the ability to see how I was progressing, and the difference when the healing was completed.

You could bring this to your yoga classes, to your meditations, and as an addition to one-on-one therapies.  Art added to your classes is where the rational and mystical work in tandem.  As I have said time after time PERFECTION IS NOT REQUIRED.  You don’t need to be an artist or even have art experience, you just need to be enthusiastic to help your students express themselves and learn more about their healing.  You can start with the chakras.  You all know about them.  You don’t have to be able to draw the complex text book chakras, just how they appear to you and your clients.

It is never too late to start or to return to something you enjoyed as a child. You have everything you need.  The right body, the right mind and a beautiful divine soul.  Creativity  is what you were born for – your version of being creative, not mine.  Doodling could be step one.  Get over the fear of being “less-than”.  Face the fear and do it anyway. In the past your art, your creativity may have been dismissed. You may have been dismissed.  You may have been told you were not artistic, remove this thought. Don’t fix these thoughts in place – feel them to acknowledge them and find out what or whom is visiting from your past.  Yoga&Art will help with this.  If you are not confident to do it for your class DO IT FOR YOURSELF.

There is no need to know how to draw, paint, meditate or even do yoga to come to do this course.  The exercises I have planned are designed to make the experience easy and fun.

If you teach art, or yoga or work as a healer, you will find this course gives you more tools, inspiration and practical suggestions to deepen your professional practice (or begin one).

Dear Yogis,

ZOOM
TUESDAY: 7.30 YOGA LECTURES. (The ART & YOGA COURSE).
WEDNESDAY: 12.30 RESTORATIVE Yoga,  5.30pm RESTORATIVE Yoga

If you haven’t taken part in the Yoga lectures, you have missed out.  For the past few weeks we have been exploring the subtle body, not from a distance, but close up.  We have looked at ancient texts and modern science… it is surprising what we have learned. “Exciting”  is another word for it.

If you are teaching,  you will especially enjoy tonights subject ART & YOGA.  It still is about the chakras, it is part of the new qualification.

THE ETSY STORE.  I have updated the store, especially  the tarot and the pendulums (soon all the items in the store)  all have postage pre-paid to make it easier.  No calculations just click and we can post to you.  We can’t hurry the post up, but we can get it to you safely.

The Pendulum Boards now come in small, medium and large so you can take it with you everywhere.  If you buy a big pendulum board this month I will include a small and medium at no extra charge.  This is just for my subscribers (you!).

REGISTRATION:  As I said, if you register before the end of this month, I will send you the medium PENDULUM BOARD free of charge with your Registration papers. ($27 value FREE) … look at your registration and get up to date.

ART & YOGA (The Qualification)

I have always been an artist and ever since I found yoga (or it found me) at a very early age, I have blended the two skills and I invite you to do the same.  DISTANCE AND ZOOM.

Starting tonite we will begin classes that will be the foundation of an ART & YOGA qualification.  As part of the course, we will explore art and yoga for difficult emotions, for teens, collaborations, groups, in nature, in communities, and in dance.  If you haven’t been with us for the Tuesday Chakra Work, you will get an opportunity to catch up.  The course will have a distance home study component, a zoom component where you will explore the art + yoga component, and as usual payment-over-time is available.

This is your opportunity to heal and serve your community, your soul and the planet with ART AND YOGA.  Truly a “marriage made in heaven”.  This course will show you how to blend the arts and yoga.  By the way, you don’t need to be a qualified artist – enthusiastic doodling and passionate yoga will do.  You will grow both skills on the way.  Art and yoga will deepen your meditation, release your creative self, give you focus and release your intuitive self.

Please email your interest and I can get the registration papers to you.  You will need to have completed at least some of your YOGA TEACHER TRAINING if you want the qualification, and be prepared to continue (unless as an artist you can put a good case to me to let you into the course). This is a post grad course which has a payment-over-time option.

JOIN ME AT THE EASEL…

NAMASTE – JAHNE

Dear Yogis,

ZOOM: Email me to join a class yogafirst2@bigpond.com
Today, MONDAY 1pm:  RESTORATIVE YOGA
TUESDAY: 7.30pm YOGA LECTURES.  The Chakras..

THE STORE:  I have put all of my PENDULUM BOARDS on www.firstmountaindowsers.com.  They are all there, and all inclusive of postage.  I will be putting up some unusual bone pendants soon.

I hope you make room for our next classes on ZOOM.  Not just pop-in times, but regular, committed classes.  Just because you are not in the studio does not mean it is not important.  It is, and it can be just as “committed”, but not if you don’t take it seriously.

Our Saturday TAROT MAKING classes are inspirational.  Each of the students is doing their own thing within the scope of the class.  ZEN DOODLING to make Pendulum Boards, Tarot cards, Affirmation cards, paintings, miniatures and even a journal.

The classes can help you to produce anything that you want.  If you have got art materials in your cupboards you don’t know how to use properly – I can teach you.  Make your doodles into greeting cards, pendulum boards, and books.

SILENCE
I love painting because it requires solitude, and I know enough about myself to realise I function best when I alternate between periods of intense activity and periods of comparison solitude. When I understand this about myself I can order my life accordingly.  After too much time on the computer I begin to burn out.   I notice that I burn out inwardly before I burn out outwardly.  Painting helps me ground myself.  Creativity stops me from becoming a frantic bundle of hollow energy, busy, busy, busy but devoid of life.

It is a meditation.  We can have a holy silence and when we nature it, miracles occur. It is wonderful, this resting in “the God of Creation”, this stilling of activity, “seeking first His Kingdom”.  That is why doing art on the computer holds no attraction for me… it is an interface between me and God when actual painting is not.  Painting gets me closer to God, closer to the Holy Silence.

At all times, but especially in the beginning we need to find a specific time and place to nurture silence.  Painting, creativity gives me this.

Some people find the silences in the early morning, others quiet themselves best in the deep quiet of the night.  Whatever time we choose, we must have time to still the churning, to quiet the restlessness, to meditate on God.  Painting doesn’t replace meditation, it is another form of meditation, and I need both.

We all worry about living beyond our means financially; why do it emotionally.  We must learn our emotional limits and respect them. We are too busy only because we want to be too busy.  We could cut out a great deal of our activity and not seriously effect our productivity.  Perhaps not just absorbing the information that flies towards us every minute, but thinking about its significance. Thinking is the hardest work we can do, and among the most important.

One of the most profound effect of inward simplicity is the rise of an amazing spirit of contentment.
