YOGA NEWSLETTER 26th September’17

THE AUSTRALASIAN YOGA INSTITUTE IS MISSION DRIVEN AND MEMBER SUPPORTED.  BECOME A REGISTERED MEMBER TODAY.

NOTES FROM JAHNE..
Right now it is pretty hard to keep up – I am feeling the messages coming through to me regarding CSF and Yoga. I know when I am in the right place, and thank goodness I have Charlie to help me in the office so I can concentrate on writing everything down (not on yellow legal pads thank goodness), and others starting to mill around me who will be important in the future. This work is terribly important. Others may not yet see the implications, but it is wildly clear to me.

Everywhere I go, the right people bring the next step, or a help up on the step I am at right then. Frankly, it is blowing my mind.

I know I don’t have enough time left in my life to waste even one moment – DO YOU THINK YOU DO? Some people have stayed away from teachings/classes because of football on TV!!! And tell me with pride. They maybe felt I would do a replay, but Foxtel would not…. You are creating your life, so what are you actually creating?   AFFILIATES and those who would like to be. I am so excited about this, especially in light of a feeling of “expansion” in the air. I will be having an “AFFILIATES AFTERNOON TEA” on Saturday 7th October at 1.30 to 3.30 where we can chat about the possibilities of Affiliation. If you are an Affiliate (perhaps lagging behind a bit) we can brainstorm your business and its possibilities in light of our experience, and if you have a studio, and would like to teach teachers – open a teacher training arm to your business and are thinking about Affiliation, then we could chat about this. Please, please let me know if you will be at this tea. Chocolate and champers? Not exactly yogi, but yummy all the same (orange juice and sea biscuits for those who don’t indulge)..

ASSISTANCE PLEASE

I am considering solar panels/batteries etc. on the studio. Anyone out there living in Victoria done this successfully? Can be a big investment, and maybe I would get it back, depending on batteries or no batteries? Feeding into the grid seems to be paying money for nothing (except a feeling of being sustainable) – what do you think. There are so many options. And technology is changing all the time.
EMAIL:

Please use the email address yogafirst@optusnet.com.au for anything to do with accounts, or the usual yogafirst2@bigpond.com. To get to me. If you do want to speak to me personally, then email, make a time suitable for both of us, and then we can chat. If you do it this way, rather than just “wing it”, you can be reasonably sure I have time, and you will get my attention. POSTAL ADDRESS is not at my home – small mail box out in the open means that rain is an issue. Please address all land mail to the address it has always been – PO Box 14, Mt.Macedon. Vic. 3441. Until you see a change written here in large letters, that is where it will be.
PHONE:
I have a new landline. 0354 274 383. But I prefer that you leave a TEXT for me on0402 088 170. (or email me directly at yogafirst2@bigpond.com) Thank you.

HYPERMOBILITY AGAIN.   The book and the DVD are available via ETSYwww.myyogabooks.etsy.com The more that I do in this field, and the more that I think about it, the more relevant it becomes to all of you. I am working on a new update of the hypermobility booklet the addition of more work on Cerebro Spinal Fluid, and a contemplation on “THE GREAT I AM”.

I think I will do a video to put on the web, and also make it available as a DVD. Sometimes when I look at what I taught before I began this research it seems only marginally useful. Everything we do can be much better in light of this new research.   THE LECTURE on Saturday last.

The talk was fantastic. I learned so much, and did so much, and made so many
marvelous contacts. Thank you all for coming. I have received invitations for three
more talks, so next year looks like being an especially busy one. If you want me to
come talk to your group, start making arrangements NOW, NOW, NOW.
The book and the DVD are on www.myyogabooks.etsy.com Restorative Yoga Therapy – Level 3 RESTORATIVE LEVEL 3
Please keep in mind that RYTA200, level 1 and 2 need to be done BEFORE level 3 – however, you can do the workshops, and catch up with the theory. No graduation is possible until you have done the whole process. The workshop timetable which includes LEVEL 3 attached above. There is a workshop for Level 3 happening on the 1st October BOOK NOW – don’t just rock up at 9. I do have bookings, so it will be happening.
ON THE DAY: 9 am to 5’ish

RESTORATIVE START TIME: 9am start then work until 2 (break for nibbles when appropriate)
TEACHER TRAINING: 2 to 4 (everyone can join in)
RESTORATIVE: Starting again at 4’ish and finishing about 5 to 5.30

WHERE: The Studio, 37 Morris Road, Woodend.
Park either on the white gravel around the front of the studio, or if this is full, then there is a drive and front yard leading to a shed directly opposite us. Park there in a way that others can too, and don’t just abandon your car in the driveway. There is no need to park way up the hill, though you can if you want to.

If you were one of the students in my ORIGINAL Restorative Training, please understand that a whole lot has come to me since then. It has turned the work on its head. To bring you up to a level 3, you will need to come to a workshop, do the level 2 workshop and keep up to speed with all that is happening. If you are not travelling along side of me in this, then
you will miss important teachings.

I am not quite sure how I am going to get the message to you all. I need more than monthly teachings, but it seems that this is all that most of you
are able to do.

These levels all contribute towards helping you to be a better therapist. If you have not almost completed the teacher training course then you won’t have the anatomical and philosophical vocabulary to understand what we are doing. So work on your course, do the Restorative level 1 and 2, and keep this in mind for the next step, Level 3. Come to my talks, and book for a workshop with me. Or book for a one-on-one to see how I work.
INSURANCE
PLEASE NOTE: If you are not teaching then there is no need for insurance. If you are teaching then you will need to be registered, and get insurance. You can buy insurance anywhere, you don’t have to come through us HOWEVER, if you are a student, then there are few companies who will insure you. Ours is one – it used to be the only one.

INSURANCE ALTERNATIVES. We are no longer closely involved with our teachers with regards to insurance…. AJGallagher seems to be the only one who will insure students who have not graduated but are teaching. I am looking at Dancesurance. They appear to insure students (trainees not yet graduated) cheaply, and, if you have a studio, they are really the only ones who insure this with understanding. Cost for Studio insurance? $276pa. No matter who you use. If you are a student MAKE YOUR STATUS CLEAR, if you don’t, and need to make a claim, you may discover (too late) that you are not covered.

Why Register with THE AUSTRALASIAN YOGA INSTITUTE?

PLEASE, PLEASE CHECK YOUR REGISTRATION. Are you currently a member? Thank you all the students who have responded to this call. Registration says you are a member of our school (and proud to be so), and at the very least the income received from the cost of registration allows us to give out scholarships, and help others in their desire to teach. We have a wonderful lineage that goes back through the Gita School to India and Tibet. Support us by being a fabulous teacher, and in time Affiliating with us, and taking our traditions into a complete Teacher Training School of your own.

Thank you for those new students who are being drawn to me for specialized yoga classes. When there is a small class, and everyone has hypermobility to some degree, then what happens is magic. Students who have struggled in class and in life see the light– can see that there is help, and can see how to help themselves. After a lifetime of symptoms they now have a cause they can work around.

I am offering HOT-ROCK Massage using my very special Death Valley rocks, not just some EBay leftovers, as part of my (One-on-One) Restorative Yoga Therapy. Health benefit rebates are possible for the one-on-one).

YOGA class prices at either place, Bentinck or Studio are $15 per class, $135 for a 10 class pass or $100 unlimited for one 4 week month (no extensions – once the month is up the pass is done). Your present passes will be valid until they run out. Restorative Yoga Therapy Consult (including the massage) with Jahne $155 first consult, $125 thereafter. Health Fund Rebate available.

Please note that at the Bentinck, the Medical Clinic that we have all been waiting for is nearing completion, however, more work is being done on the driveways and ambulance bay. If it is full, park opposite. Walk carefully, workmen leave building materials about.
