Dear Yogis,
I am so happy. I have taken my life back! Really. I am out of the hands of doctors and I feel fantastic. For just 3 weeks I was totally deluded and sick from the various HBP medications handed to me because the doctors were fearful. My BP is higher than normal, it has always been higher than normal – and it puts fear into the hearts of doctors.
After the 2nd vax I had a TIA when my high BP skyrocketed, but I didn’t realise I had a TIA until much later. I was still gardening, yoga’ing, lifting rocks, doing the things I do. Luckily I had a doctor at the time who said, “just keep doing what you are doing” – and I have until now. Unfortunately I had to get a damaged Glute and TFL checked out and at the same time they checked my blood pressure and went into shock. I however felt happy and fantastic, something I haven’t felt since that moment. They gave me a barrage of pills as well as oxycodone! I didn’t take the oxycodone but I did take the others. They lowered my bp to the point that when I was eating lunch I went to sleep and slipped under the table. A bridge too far. I want to know that when I feel something that I am feeling it, and it is not a reaction to a chemical. Remember, pain originates in the brain. Interrupt that, and you are lost in the fog.
So, I am once again my primary physician. I take herbal teas, vitamin supplements and I feel great. I can get on with my life. A wake up call. I will however see an osteopath to get my bones and muscles put back into place (a physio just seemed intent on looking at one thing – and a body is not “just one thing”).

YOGA CLASS in NORMA RICHARDSON hall. Chi(chair)Yoga starting at 10am. This is a mixed class. Students with Chair, Wheelchair, Wheelies, walking sticks all welcome.

YOGA MONTHLY LUNCH: This Sunday – the 29th, at The Victoria Hotel (hardly anything else is open for lunch) at 12 noon. It is quieter then, and if there are enough of us we can get the room at the back, although I do like an ordinary table rather than the big table – I like to be able to chat with you all, not just the persons beside me. Can we beat the 10 who came to the last time. We have attracted 15 pre-covid.
