Dear Yogis,

Missed Friday – so I hope you are all answering emails over breakfast.

Well it had to happen, I have been forcibly slowed down.

Remember in December I tripped on my washing pole, came down a hard thump.  That cleared up beautifully, but with the cold weather I am suffering, and thought I would go see the doc “just in case”.  They’re terrific, BUT they want to load me with chemicals – I can say “NO”.  The last thing I want is to become a slave to the medical system at this stage in my life.

At Campaspe Health and the hospital they did every test possible (not yet finished) and now I know what the problem is.  No guessing.  It is Bursitis with some osteoporosis arthritis.  Is it painful – YES, however, I am not going to get on the opium treadmill, I have seen the results of that.  Good old disprin, paying attention to diet, and taking herbs when required.  Thats what comes first.  I have to learn and adjust.

I am thankful we have such a wonderful hospital, and I could have all the tests and all of them bulk billed,  AND, once you reach age 72 the government offers a free total health check.  They say it takes an hour but really, it takes HOURS.  but it is free.  Please check with your doctor and get this done if you are a senior teacher..
