Dear Yogis,
Just a reminder about the weekend.
On Saturday 9th August, I will be at The Mt.Macedon Gallery from 10am to 1pm if you would like to catch up. I would love to show you around.
On Sunday the 10th August, the YOGA LUNCH is at the Victoria Hotel in Woodend from 12 noon.
ALSO On Sunday afternoon – we have a teacher training from 2.30. I have sent an email around, but if I have missed you, please come anyway.
Regarding the herbs. I hope you have been foraging and making teas. It is not hawthorn time yet, but hawthorn is my favourite herb. I have a residual injury from my covid injection – a HBP problem. Hawthorn is the herb I rely on to calm things down. Much more efficient than any of the pills the medicos gave me, and no side effects! Even the scar on my brain from the TIA I suffered from the same cause is reducing.
FORAGING: I pick the fresh tips and the unopened flower buds as you can see in the photograph to the left. I need about three firmly stuffed supermarket plastic bags for a year of dried tea.
So, get to know the herbs that will help you (first you have to know the problem) and then try the herbs until you find the one that suits you – and then take it regularly. I make Hawthorn into a tea in the morning and then add a tablespoon or two of the tisane to any hot drink I have during the day – it suits me, and it works for me.
DONT FORGET TO REGISTER IF YOU HAVEN’T DONE SO. Even some of our most loved students decide to put their allegiance elsewhere – they don’t understand the difference their yearly registration makes. To give your certificate more status, I pay to maintain membership in YA, I pay for accredited training status in YA and IICT and the appropriate audits, updates, and insurance, but if you don’t support me, I wonder why I am doing it. Once you have registered with us there is no need to register with anyone else. Please reconsider.
You may go for the cheapest, but in the long run, we are your sangha. At some point I may have to reduce although I doubt if I will close the door as many have been forced to do. In the end it is your choice. If you don’t support me, I will not be here to support you.
