Dear Yogis,

WALNUTS OR PEARS?  This week I made a batch of preserved Green Walnuts.  I found an old Greek recipe.  The walnuts preserve soft, sweet and taste like PEARS???  Who thought this would happen?  Not me, but I have been nibbling.  I imagine that with clotted cream or ice cream they will be unbelievable.  Now I just have to get more walnuts at exactly the right time.

 

All the knitters out there, look at this on the right hand side.  It is not so much a knit as a canvas, and this artist is getting a lot of attention.  Just to prove that a sweater does not have to fit in order to be a work of art.  I love it but would never have the patience to knit it.  The process is called “intarsia”.

THE ANGELS.  Before the 9/11 attack I dreamed that there had been a collapse of the Twin Towers and I saw hundreds of angels floating upwards from the smoking wreckage of the buildings. In response I began “The 1000 Angel Project “ which I completed in 2020.  Once again the world is in turmoil and I have started on “THE 1000 ANGEL PROJECT 11”.

Commission one for yourself – any size…. and in this way change the world ONE ANGEL AT A TIME.

I have received commissions as the angel to the left is.  I think she is rather beautiful, sparkly magical….  When I open my little gallery, (the week before Valentines Day) I will have more of my angels, all different kinds.

Dear Yogis –Thanks for coming to the luncheon – it was lovely as usual.  It is so good to get together with yoga friends… even if we meet at class, this is different.

Today I am marginally later with everything because I slept in – but I needed to.  I worked until about 1.30 last nite pinning up silk to paint today, because 1 have three unsold cards left and have orders for more.  There are some at The Mt.Macedon Gallery, but I have three left at home..  I love it when things are successful, but it is a lot of extra work because everything about the cards relies on me.  The cutting and the pinning of the silk, the gold work, the painting the cutting and ironing, placing on the cards which I have to prepare, then the packing.  It is a big job alongside everything else.  I am so glad they are just flying off the shelves.  I will have more by Wednesday – please order yours.  Remember they are greeting cards, not Christmas cards so can be used at any time… even “thank you cards”,  (nice ones are hard to get).

I am an artist – before the 9/11 attack I dreamed that there had been a collapse of the Twin Towers and I saw hundreds of angels floating upwards from the smoking wreckage of the buildings. Dear Yogis – Please remember that our LAST YOGA LUNCH FOR THE YEAR is this Saturday.

We have new TRAINEE YOGA TEACHERS so, if you are lagging behind in your course and want to join in you can (well, you always could, but maybe you haven’t).  If you are reading this and want to be a professional teacher, then you can.  Not a 200hr quickie course, but a real, fully qualified yoga teacher, able to deal with whatever a class or country may throw your way!  Our graduates have taught all around the world – in Monaco, on Super yachts, New York, London and etc… anywhere.   Email me for details: yogafirst2@bigpond.com
The pic is the stunningly beautiful Inn at Death Valley.  I taught yoga there, you could too (whilst your beloved was doing the Death Valley Marathon perhaps).  Kings, Queens and Presidents holiday at the Inn,  and once you have visited you will understand why.  It is amazing.

I have booked for us to go to  “The Full Moon” in Woodend.  Warm, “homey” and great food. I love the Nachos – with chicken – with prawns – vegan, or Mexican.  Any of them are great.
