Good morning yogis
In the last day of 2021 – thank you all for your support and for the fun we have had despite set-backs this year.  We are only half way through the covid experience, so “buckle up, it’s going to be a bumpy ride” (as Bette said) get back on track with the Bach Flowers.
What is troubling you?  Does your life seem to be spiralling out of control due to uncertainty and/or setbacks?  None of us know what is really going on, and what will happen next with regards to Covid and our businesses and lifestyles – although with Christmas and the New year almost sorted, we are more likely to know soon the “actual state of play”.
Because they deal with physical symptoms by working with the mind, the Bach Flowers can assist with the emotions you are experiencing and can provide gentle comfort in times of uncertainty.
A simple guide to a few…..
Cerato when you are not sure about a decision and ask for others advice.
Gentian for when you experience a setback, and it knocks you off course.
Gorse for when you have given up all hope.
Scleranthus when you are having trouble with a choice of two options.
Wild Oat when you are uncertain about your direction in life.
White Chestnut for when you cannot prevent thoughts, ideas, arguments which you do not desire from entering your mind. (as seen in the photo)
I have found myself, that Bach Flower Remedies work best if I put a drop or two (yes, that is all) in my palms and pat on my clean face first thing in the morning, and last thing at night.  Much better for me than under the tongue.  The remedies are energy – you do not needs heaps, and they work quietly in the background.  Don’t expect a zap of energy – you will notice changes gently over a few days. The BACH FLOWER REMEDIES COURSE will tell you everything you need to know to become self sufficient and make your own remedies – safely. and costs less than $60 – less than one visit to your naturopath…which is what Edward Bach had in mind.  www.myyogabooks.etsy.com

SETTING YOUR GOALS FOR THE NEW YEAR.

When you’re setting your goals, it’s a good idea to keep these goals in mind…. SMART.  We have given you new courses, zoom classes, and a working sangha – the rest is up to you.

  • Specific: It’s not enough to say that you want more sales. Instead, your goal should be “I want to increase my sales by 10%” or “I want to earn $120,000 in the next 12 months.” Those are both very specific goals that leave no wriggle room..
  • Measurable: You may have heard the quote “What gets measured gets managed”  Your goals must have some kind of measurement attached to them – either in dollars, subscribers, followers, or another countable figure.
  • Attainable: It’s great to dream about doubling or tripling your income, but unless you have a solid plan, you might just find yourself discouraged at the end of the year if your goals are not truly attainable.
  • Realistic: In order for a goal to be realistic, you have to have the skills to pull it off.  If you haven’t got those skills, get them.
  • Time-based: Good goals have a hard deadline. What incentive do you have for working on it today?

TATTOOS:  I was going to advertise TINY TATTOOS – $50 For the month of January, but I am struggling to get the right needles.  I am down to my last, and all the usual suppliers are sold out…  If I can scrounge some needles from other tattoo shops I will let you know and then we will be on.  The tattoos can be in henna colour or black only, no bigger than a 50cent piece.  You can use one of my designs or your own – by appointment only, no drop ins.

I am looking forward to the new year and seeing you in the studio.

NAMASTE. JAHNE

Dear Yogis,

The New year beckons.  What are you going to resolve? That the pay cheque lasts longer than the week, that you spend less time on the internet, that you make Thursday your “techno-Fast” (no insta, no web etc.), that you get closer to your Sangha, start more classes… and so on.  The list is endless but it doesn’t matter what you think, it matters what you do. For myself I have been tidying up loose ends – finishing courses, books, paintings.  Everything so that I can move into the new year prepared to work with you.  My Fungi Posters and the Bach Therapy Course (THE YOGA OF HERBS), is now available on www.blue lady studio and on www.myyogabooks.etsy.com

I think that we are on the road to perfection, which means that we are pretty imperfect at present.  There are consequences of having a mortal body: first accepting that we are mortal (not infinite), that we have stomachs, muscles and a mind.  These facts, because of their nature, profoundly influence the character of human civilisation and because it is so obvious, we never give it a thought. However, we will never understand ourselves our civilisation until we see these clearly.  The Chinese have a saying:  “A man may own thousands of acres of land, but like us all he still sleeps in a bed 6feet long”.

Like you, I creep towards perfection.  I have my meditation, my yoga, gardening and painting to help me learn, grow and serve my community.  We all came to serve, not to take.

We are guests upon this earth.  No-one really owns a house, and no-one really owns a field.  With the new year upon us, it is good to reflect on such things.  How can we improve our minds, learn to love, and be happy.

Pay attention to the Yamas – they light our path.

What are you moving towards this year?

I will always see you on the mat.

NAMASTE.  JAHNE

Dear Yogis,
I had a fantastic Christmas – the best in a very long time and I hope you did too.  Although I said I was going to let it drift past, my students and friends had a different idea, and I have been welcoming folk into my home all weekend. And it hasn’t finished – there is still some fabulousness left this week.  Thank you everyone – I have loved it.
Welcome to Your New Years Resolution…….Have you made a list? Have you been meditating about your life during 2021 and connecting with your intuition on how you want to be the best version of yourself this upcoming year of 2022?

If our Institute, and our courses are part of your 2022 vision,  we are here to support you in following your passion and maintaining a high vibration! We have the ultimate support system to take your YOGA career to the next level!
We all need to up-skill and most importantly DIVERSIFY.  The Compassionate Companions Project new class starts in January – I have been listening to Radio National over the break and there have been programs about the work that we introduce to you in this course.  In the time of covid,  carers and Death (life) Doulas are needed, and will be more in demand as the usual support systems wither away.   There is the BACH THERAPY Training which will prepare you to help your family friends and community with Bach remedies.  The most simple and comprehensive energy healing.   As well we have the usual Yoga Teacher Training and studio classes all starting from the 10th January… so you still have couple of weeks to get all your plans organised…  Email me to find out more: yogafirst2@bigpond.com or look at the CCP website – www.ccpproject.com

This morning I was meditating and was taken right away into a project I am working on at the moment and I saw it all laid out before me in its various steps, so whilst I can’t see the end, I will walk forward into this vision – it will play out as I move forward.  It was one of those meditations that is a whole life, not just a dream state.

What was it? – the FUNGI.  I have finished step one, the first set of drawings and the poster.  Step two is a second poster which then leads into a set of inspiration cards with the drawings from both posters.. along the way a set of greeting cards of MAGIC MUSHROOMS also taken from the posters….  Yesterday I started the inspirational verses for the back of the cards – I managed 24, but that is just the start, they all have to be “arted up”.  Getting the words right is important, I will have to do a whole lot more than 24, but it is something that I enjoy.  The A3 poster (which you can see on the right) can be purchased from www.myyogabooks.etsy.com, and I can send it to you in a tube EXPRESS POST ready to frame – NO FOLDS like in the photo to the right.

Get to it yoga students and friends.

There is lots to do.  “Today (as they say) is the first day of the rest of your life”.  Don’t waste it. Make this year really count.  Even if you don’t feel you have the time, the space, or whatever… just start.  Imagine it and you will achieve it.  Nothing can stop an idea whose time has come.  I have the words FAITH and LOVE tattoo’d on my thumb… just so I will remember both.  There is no room on the thumb for the word “listen” which is another virtue I need to know more about.  I do have a pendant charm of an Elephant on my bracelet – small mouth, big ears!  A reminder.
I look forward to seeing you on zoom, on the mat or in the tattoo room.
NAMASTE. JAHNE
