Dear Yogis,

We are all on HOME-STAY orders.  Going out has become problematic, and we have got the garden in order, and maybe like my mum you are waiting for the dust to fall so you can use your spinner thing to get it up – and you have found (not surprisingly) that all this is not enough!  There is only so many times you can tidy the bookshelves….

How about something new and different? How about getting out paper and pen and actually writing to someone. It could be a relative, a friend you haven’t heard from in an age – but it also could be a prisoner on death row!  I write to prisoners on death row in the USA.  It is a lengthy process in the beginning as you can imagine (and I advise choosing the USA).  The administration need  to make sure that you are safe…  once you have jumped the hurdles of red tape (and this is a good time to take that on), you could start up a conversation that makes a difference in someone’s life (Google for details and how to proceed).  By the way, in this computer age, real, paper letters to anyone make a difference.

If you are even more creative, you could make the writing implement.  Making the paper is harder, but making a pen is simple.  Newsagents are still open so you can still get ink.  Now there is something you can make out of beetroot juice or soot.  But a bought ink lasts longer on the page.  I think I did a blog about the pens I made from hollow twigs.  Bamboo and elderberry are two woods I use.

I was out walking yesterday (collecting chunky greens for my stew) and I took photos of two wonderful stands of fungi.  Look at all those pine needles – great mulch for blueberries.

The first is a stand of Amanita Muscaria (poisonous), and the second is huge, about 2ft across and there are lots of stands of these around at the moment.  I think it is an Omphalotus Olearius (poisonous), it looks wonderful, but not to eat, although people who know more about these things than me might disagree.  That’s OK.  I am not that hungry.

Almost forgot to say – last night I was relaxing in my sitting room, the cat curled in my lap, I looked up and there was a mature large fox sitting on the other side of a window looking at me.  About 6ft away.   We just sat, and then the fox said goodbye and melted into the night as they say.  It was a magical few moments.  I am told they will come through a cat door if they feel safe?

Ancient Chieftains in Ireland were called Sinnachs or Foxes.  Druids believe that the fox is knowing and in possession of clear vision.  In common with the otter, the fox is said to carry a magical pearl which brings good fortune to whomever finds it.

Have a lovely day – take time out to get your writing gear organised and a space to do it – it is almost an art form.

Namaste – stay well and safe – JAHNE

Hi there beautiful yogis,

Today  I did a huge walk and “Wow” I had asked to be 25 years old again,  and I was.  I felt fantastic.  Didn’t even notice my body – I zipped through the walk and felt so inspired and strong on my return.  I don’t want to jog, it shortens the muscles, but my walking regime is going to get longer and longer…

When I came home made some  POCKET PENDANTS.  Aren’t they beautiful?

These POCKET PENDULUMS are for sale. I will put them on etsy because that is easy.    I have spoken with my guide Nadoyan and he suggests $27.25 for each pendant including Australian postage. Who am I to argue?  So If you want one for yourself, a friend, Mother’s Day (I do have two of some – all tested, all responsive, each more beautiful than the other), please go to etsy.  www.myyogabooks.etsy.com or jahnehopewilliams.net.

They all come with a little booklet with HOW TO basics.  There is a big book with a chart on etsy – but this is small and a good start, and of course there is the videos “jahne hope-williams YouTube”.  These pendulums can answer anything I want to know the answer to.  I don’t want to know when this home-stay will finish.  I am having far too good a time, and learning heaps about myself. Who knew?

PLUS, I am making jewelled face masks – who wants “ordinary”? Not me!   I am also making boiled wool tumble dryer balls because I love using them – they save money and time, and the clothes come out smelling fantastic and lint free…  I will put everything I do on etsy.  What are you making?

What are you learning?  Whilst I was out walking I met a  lovely young lady with three dogs – cattle dogs she said and I think she was right.  She was a dog walker, and just prattled on about the dogs and her father, and what she was doing, and how.  It was so wonderful to make that connection with another human. Unguarded, free.  Just communication and connection.  She didn’t cross the road to avoid my germs, she wasn’t dressed for outer space, she didn’t measure the space. She just kept her distance – well, the dogs determined the distance, and we talked and laughed.  It was so refreshing.  As I walked I noticed all the new weed growth, the fungi, there great things that are happening beside the creek.  Tomorrow I will bring the garden scissors and a plastic bag and collect enough greens for tea.  Where were you?

I feel fantastic, rested, and ready to do new things – take on new things.  I would love to work with you, help you on the path.  I make the remedies, the pendants, the charts.  Everything to help you.  Please contact me and let me know where we can go from here.

Good morning Yogis,

To begin with,   I would like to say how much I miss all of you, those usually coming to teacher training, those usually coming to class, and workshops.  I hope that you are supporting each other, looking after your body, your mind and your spirit..  I am hoping that you will rush to join us when this has subsided and in the meanwhile I offer my love, my prayers and my blessings to you all.  In spite of everything that is happening in the world I am inspired by yogis across the planet meditating, breathing, chanting,  helping others and helping themselves find their inner connection.  What a wonderful opportunity for growth we have been given. Tap into our FREE Covid (and other) videos on “Jahne Hope-Williams YouTube”

As a yoga philosopher, what I would ask you to think about it this.  You have heard about the “Butterfly Effect?” ie “A butterfly in the Amazon flaps its wings and a guy in New York  dies”  Well what about this…Someone in Wuhan sneezed, someone in a little principality of China that we had never heard of before got a cold and a fever and the world became a place of turmoil and fear, and many people died.  “We are all connected”.  We have used these words hundreds of times.  We have imagined it to be so, but NOW, now we have the proof.

The virus has been there all along.  An ancient organism waiting its turn.  It wasn’t something new, it had been there all the time, waiting.  The question I would like you to contemplate is this – what caused it to emerge?  I am not talking about the wet markets which have been there hundreds of years, I am talking about karma, about spirit, about cause and effect.  What gave this little ancient creature the prod, the impetus to multiply and proliferate just at that moment in time and in that way?  What was the tipping point?  This little organism needed the perfect environment and maybe by not caring for the planet or ourselves, we have been responsible for its growth.  I am not a scientist I am a yogi and I believe that nothing is accidental.  We are responsible for what happens on the planet, and the Covid is the result, not the cause.  Our planetary spiritual vibration reached such a low ebb that this little virus was given a chance at life because the conditions became available.  Every virus is an opportunist, and  just takes advantage of what is available, they don’t  create the situation.   I wonder if in my Past Life Process I will meet this organism?  If I do, I will let you know.  It could happen.

I would say to you that this little bug is not going to go away.  It may retreat, we may find ways to kill it here and there, but it will always be with us.  We have to be prepared for this, and for whatever comes next.  Not new.  I have been waving my arms about this for a long time… now maybe you are listening.  It is important that we yogis who are holding the planet in our spiritual arms keep practicing – doing our asanas.  More practice, more practice, more practice.  Together let’s get really healthy in body, mind and spirit, so that no matter what emerges we are ready in body, mind and spirit to stand strong.  That is why we do yoga is it not?

It is time to imagine (and bring into being) a better and brighter tomorrow.  Tap into our healing practices to power-up our own inner healing.  Health and vitality at every level gives us the ability to overcome and recover.  Maintain your equilibrium and tranquility no matter what you face.  It is the yoga way.

Do your asana practice and most importantly take time to breathe – alternate nostril breathing to enliven and strengthen the nervous system, belly breathing and stomach lifts to strengthen the respiration and  awaken the heart chakra.  Fill your whole system with strength, power and enthusiasm.  My walks have become “Gratitude Walks”.  “Thank you for the breath, thank you for the breeze, thank you for the footpath, thank you for the creek.”…and so on for the entire walk and when possible out loud even if you do look nuts – I often do, so no one pays attention.

and most importantly MEDITATE.

As I said yesterday “SEE YOU AT THE TOP”.   NAMASTE.  JAHNE
