Dear Yogis,

Maybe it is time for me to change…  I have given most of my adult life (and my house) to yoga, but I doubt that it is serving me well at the moment the way that I am doing it.  So I am taking time to think about it.

Many of you are voting with your feet (it is the Australian Way),  and anticipating that when you are ready I will be sitting in the middle of the room waiting for you to do yoga.  Well, maybe I won’t, maybe I will be sitting in the middle of the room meditating – here or elsewhere –  and NOT waiting for you to come to yoga, and just doing yoga for those who want it.

Last nite I dreamed that I went out to class and when I came home the yoga room was totally empty, even the rug had gone.  There was a little note left on the carpet that indicated that everything had been taken for cleaning and mending and would be returned shortly in good condition, even the lining under the rug.  Everything had been removed –  the carpet cleaned the walls parking and the windows cleaned.  All the props, gone.  it was refreshing.   So there is change in the air and I am ready for it.

Here I sit doing the newsletter, which few of you believe you have the time to read and hardly anyone responds to, or even say Hello.   As I have said to you all many times….  Doing the same thing and hoping for a different outcome is the way to madness. My friend Uranda spent 10 years giving his lectures to his horse as no-one wanted to listen, and then someone did and his classes began – same with Prabhupada.  I have always thought it is a matter of holding the space.  Maybe there is a different way to hold it.  I am waiting for the “aha” moment.  I anticipate another 30 years, but not 30 years of “hoping” for an outcome –  I have always been pro-active, and that has not changed.  However, if I don’t hold the space, will you hold the space for your group, your family?  We teach by doing.  Coming to yoga, reading the newsletter, responding,  is all about holding the space.  Do you?

THE TAROT – The is the card I drew today.  What Ace of Swords Means for ME (YOU) Today

The Ace of Swords has appeared to show you that a new perspective or some kind of sudden realization is likely today. This can come to you as an ‘aha’ moment where your subconscious feeds you the answer to something,  after you have quit thinking about it. This sudden stroke of genius often feels exciting and empowering but can also be the first stage that leads to over-thinking. Thoughts are useful only when they are under our conscious control, so don’t let this influx of energy get out of control.

NAMASTE – JAHNE

Dear Yogis, A REMINDER THAT THE YOGA LUNCHEON IS THIS SATURDAY AT 12 NOON, at The Full Moon Saloon in Woodend.

SEWING BEE:  Next Sunday at 2.30 at the studio…..  This is all about hand sewing – we have a quilt to finish and you could help with that, or you could bring something else to do – I will be hand sewing a garment and could help you with yours.   Or you could just watch.   Where?  At the studio, 37 Morris Road, Woodend.  If you are a newbie and have decided to come, please let me know ahead of time (the day before, not on the day – I don’t live with my phone in my hand!).  Please, don’t bring fantastic nibbles – just something small if you must – usually there is heaps left over.  In council (in my experience) fantastic bakes are almost the point of the meetings, but here, sewing is.

PLUS:  We will be discussing the program for the hand-sewing classes.  Definitely some basic stitches to start our portfolio,  and then a little bolero or gardening apron might be the first cab off the rank where we put our new stitches into practice.   We will be doing everything by hand.  If you would like to join these classes and make the little bolero style vest you will need a metre or so of fabric and for the gardening apron an old pair of jeans – the kind with lots of pockets at the back.

LET’S CATCH UP –   If you want to chat with me about our program (or anything), I will be at The Mt.Macedon Gallery behind the Trading Post from 10am to 1pm on Sunday morning.  I will have sewing with me, plus a bag and jacket “on the racks….” and for sale.

If you want a garment “transformed”, then please email me, and we will work out how to move forward with your project.  I could let you onto my to-do list by the end of October.  At present I am making two garments into a show stopping red carpet garment.  I will show you when completed.

SEE YOU IN THE STUDIO (and at the yoga lunch)    NAMASTE – JAHNE

Dear Yogis,

Reporting to you AGAIN from “the house of honey”.  The honey has been fabulous.  I have a few more bottles available ($10 for about 600g). Looking after the bees is a responsibility – but looking after the honey is a greater one. I am hoping (as I have been for some time) to get a Kenyan Top Bar Hive.  They are kinder to the bees, although mine seem happy with the regular English hive.

SEWING BEE:  Sunday at 2.30.  This is all about hand sewing – we have a quilt to finish and you could help with that, or you could bring something else to do.  Or you could just watch.  Please bring some nibbles (just something very small… this is not a big group).  No re wine thank you.  Soda or champers encouraged just in case we have a spill.  Where.  At the studio, 37 Morris Road, Woodend.  If you are a newbie and have decided to come, please let me know ahead of time (the day before, not on the day – I don’t live with my phone in my hand!)
