Blog Student News Trainees/Teacher News

Dear Yogis,

We had a mini teachers training as usual.  This doesn’t mean it wasn’t effective or right, it just means small.  We work with whatever God gives us.  Please send your blessings to Simone who is going in to hospital today.  There are so many of our students who are going in to hospital, being released, and also those in recovery.  Thank goodness they are yogis and can see the problem clearly – as well as that, get back to yoga as soon as they can, which in itself aids recovery.

Our Yoga Lunch was fabulous, we had more folk than planned as well as a couple of last minute cancellations.  The service and the food at The Vic gets better and better.  I am told by one of our members that the steak is better than that at the RACV Club, the barra was beautiful, and I just had barra fish cakes with salad – crunchy on the outside tender and fishy in the centre. lovely.  Make a plan to join us next month.

I am nearly finished restoring the Franco Cozzo style quilt.  Once that is done I can do the things I want to.  I have been doing some Beatrix Potter style animals on tea bag papers which I will put into the Mt.Macedon Gallery October Spring exhibition.  I will also put them Insta when they are mounted.

Namaste – Have a lovely week.

Dear Yogis,

Another busy weekend… Caroline came all the way from Mornington to visit for afternoon tea on Saturday, and on Sunday I spent the afternoon at the Anglican Church battling the new ideas the Bishop has to bring in funds – these ideas include selling or leasing land, which to my mind is rarely a good idea.  Once it is gone, it is gone.  It may look a good idea at the time, but is a temporary fix.  The church, as well as yoga and many other places are finding it hard to tear people away from the computers to come to an actual event, or class.

To the left is a photo of the little mouse that sold this weekend.  I loaded it on Saturday at 4pm and it had sold by 5. It was magic, especially after a week of good sales.

NAMASTE – JAHNE

DEAR YOGIS,

It is amazing, I have had three art sales in the last days.  The stag painting sold, and two small framed pen and ink studies in the way of Beatrix Potter sold one after the other – even more pleasing because they sold to people who just were browsing in the gallery.

I have four almost ready to frame and replace those that have sold – another Brer Rabbit,  a duck like Jemima Puddle-duck, and a fox in a beautiful French tailored jacket, and a mouse who is tailor (after the tailor of Gloucester).  They will soon be available at The Mount MacedonGallery, together with matching greeting cards.

WORKSHOP.  I have a doll workshop in the studio on the 21st of this month.  You will learn to make little dolls like Horus, maybe not as big, but you will have a pattern so you can replicate any size once you learn the tips and tricks.  Email me for a place.  There were only 5 places and now only two are left.  1pm to 4pm, and only $75.  No experience required, no machine required, and you will be making dolls before Christmas…

TAROT AND PAST LIVES:  If you want appointments for either of these please email me and set a time to suit.  I guess I am channelling all things Egypt because one of the past lives this week featured and Initiation Ceremony.  It was quite interesting and I am looking forward to the follow up.
