THE MONDAY AND TUESDAY “MARY MAGDALEN” STUDIES ARE BREAKING SOME HUGE TABOOS.  THE CHURCH HAS ALWAYS BEEN AFTER POWER AND MONEY AND THE MESSAGES HAVE BEEN TILTED TO FACILITATE THIS.  YOU KNEW THAT… NOW LOOK AGAIN.  It doesn’t lessen the impact of the person called Jesus, but it does cast new light on the message of Jesus (and Mary).

TAROT: 

I am not an analytical tarot reader.  If there is a book with a deck, I rarely read the book (when I read a book, I read the last chapter first).   One of the things I love about reading my Tarot intuitively, and blending with Dreams and the Pendulum is that it heightens my awareness in all parts of my life.

What can I say.  I am just so inspired at the moment with the TAROT.. not just my own deck but a number of different decks by different artists.  The wonderfully intuitive VOYAGER, the “close to home” SHAKESPEARE, and the close to the heart LENORMAND.  I love them all, and have had the opportunity to use them all recently. Thank goodness my clients aren’t the dogmatic kind – the “I want a reading from the RIDER WAITE and nothing else will do” kind of people…  I use a pendulum to decide which to use and when.  It works for me, and I am sure it works for you too.

If you want a zoom reading (business, relationship, love life, changes) then I would love to help you. I charge $85 an hour no matter  – yoga, art, massage or tarot – in person or on zoom.  When I am more competent with astrology we can go there too.

I do charge extra if you go over the hour, but it is always your choice (I don’t use a stop watch).  Sometimes the most important parts of the reading sneak in at the end – the right guides at the right time.  If you want a longer life history or past life kind of reading then that takes longer and can cost up to $250 depending on where we go…. and how long it takes.

MARY MAGDALEN.
As you know I now attend the Catholic Church.  There have been numerous paragraphs in our weekly Order of Service alluding to whom in the Bible the Church approves of and who falls outside of that, and reinforcing the virginity of Mary,  Jesus and whomever else seems important. I was interested given Jewish family laws and the fact that Jesus was jewish and would have known and adhered to these rules, and I wondered how I could change the common perception even a little,  so,  I have been speaking to some friendly members of the congregation (the movers and shakers among the women) and the priest about Mary Magdalen.  Then, this week IN THE SERMON (called the Homily here), The Priest said twice and in a very loud voice  “of course, Mary Magdalen was the Apostle to the Apostles” and spoke about her work, her spirituality, and how she went out and spread the gospel message.  I am pretty sure not many there were actually listening, but I felt like standing up and cheering.  It is hard to share smiles when we are all wearing masks, but I can assure you I was sending him peace, love and goodwill thoughts.  A little change but profound.  More please.   It flabbergasts me how the Church has distorted the message – but it is just lovely to get together with a group who are trying to be better persons, spiritually.

SUNDAY: 10 AM THE TIBETAN BOOK OF THE DEAD (The Book of Living and Dying).  A Text for the CCProject

This is a time of growth and change.  For me too.  For years I have been surrounded by yoga and art books and things because I was constantly teaching.  This is less the case now, and I want to de-clutter (almost minimise but not quite).  Something I am teaching others to do.  You may be just leaning back into your yoga teaching which will accelerate as the pressure of Covid is lessened, and as you grow, you might like to avail yourself of some of my prized items.

The picture of my little studio space to the right may not look uncluttered to you – but I really have taken out a huge amount…In the yoga room I am letting go of my beloved yoga swings (just keeping one for me), blankets, pillows, blocks, many books which I will sell in bundles, DVD’s and so on – by donation.  I will start on the 22nd July at our Mary Magdalen Feast Day and continue through to the 22nd August which I have designated as my ART AND YOGA SALE DAY.  If you have gone to the CCP web site you will have seen the notice.  You are all welcome to both.  Of course on the 22nd July I will also be celebrating the launch of our CCP COURSE.  This also has gained a write-up in The Australian Yoga Journal digital edition which pleases me… They have done such a lovely job.

I am excited by this course which is not just about sitting by a bedside at end of life. It is not just about DEATH, but it is about helping people LIVE wherever they find themselves….  We all remember Florence Nightingale as the “Lady with the Lamp”, but no-one would have remembered her if she hadn’t dealt with life. Helped soldiers regain their life even if that happened to be end-of-life.  She did not just sit by their bedside with a candle.  They knew she was fighting for them. Advocating.

This may involve sitting by the bed, but it may also be about talking to the client and family about end-of-life arrangements, about preparing them to let go of computer and day to day expenses… about helping them let go of everything IT.  Even down-sizing.  De-stressing on all levels.

It is not about counselling – it is about being a Compassionate Companion.  It is a big job, and the course will prepare you for each part.
