Hi there Yogis

A NOTE TO ALL MY CCP persons (and intended CCP persons)  out there –  THURSDAY’S  TWEET FROM THE WELL-KNOWN ABC PERSONALITY, NORMAN SWAN:  (All consumers of health care take note) He said – “One of the simplest safety measures in hospital is to have someone sitting with you who’s not afraid to sing out”.

It was amazing how everyone who replied and re-tweeted echoed this sentiment.  We are not “singing to the choir” girls, there are a lot of people out there who need our help.

That has been our focus as a Compassionate Companion.  To be an ADVOCATE for people in the health care system who are not able to speak for themselves.  If you want to work in the system but not be IN the system, then you might like this way of doing things.  Our primary concern is our client.  Anything that we can do to make sure our client is heard, (and happy) is our prime concern.

OUR NEXT CCP INTAKE is probably at the end of January 2022.  It is never easy to predict because I don’t know what will happen between now and then, but, it is a more economical course which you can pay in instalments – it can be done by distance and zoom, we can even move to post if everything else is taken away… so no matter what happens, we should be able to do this.  I am buying a generator, to make sure zooming should still be available even if the local power goes down.

THE POST GRADUATE STUDY – the Diploma in Bach therapy – How to understand, make and prescribe these remedies – will be out soon.  A perfect accompaniment to CCP.  Then you will have everything.  You will be able to be a clinician regarding the therapies, you will be able to be insured and add it to your CCP qualifications… and so on (people and/or veterinarian streams).

THE BACH GARDEN.  My garden contains many of the Bach Flowers for remedies.  You will be able to visit, see the remedies, the flowers as they grow, and learn to use the pendulum to prescribe for your clients.  It is about knowing the basics,  asking your pendulum the right questions and working with the Spirits and Angels of the garden..

The Bach Trees and Shrubs too big for my garden are available within a short walk, so when you come, we will have a whole experience.  Fantastic at this time of the year (sort of, there is wind, low cloud, and rain a the moment), although I have been out mulching,  weeding, loving the garden and getting it ready for you. When you come you will be able to see how I pick, and make the remedies… Even the creeks where I get the Rock Water are close by.

ROCK WATER:  This is a stand alone remedy in the Bach repertoire.  Obviously it is not a plant!  Although we see the water jumping and bubbling over rocks, the person we would prescribe this to would be a life-long victim, someone who martyrs themselves to a cause. Totally inflexible and  rigid in their beliefs which can lead to a lonely existence.  They will know they are right of course, but eventually they will live on an island.. just them and their beliefs. We must say that their high ideals are with good intentions, but taken to extremes.

The positive aspect of this remedy encourages greater flexibility of mind.

The COMPASSIONATE COMPANIONS, NEXT INTAKE (and the Post Graduate Bach Flower Therapy Course)  is accepting students for a January start.  If you can see that either or both of these could be  a valuable addition to your yoga studio (I have found it so), please email me and I will send you the application//information pack.

Dear Yogis,

Raining again, absolutely gorgeous in this place at this time of the year.  The weather bureau is forecasting a wet Christmas period, and fewer bushfires… with all the wood and dead trees still piled up from the various storms and aftermath this forecast of rain is very good news.  We have had snow on Christmas Day here, maybe we will again.

BACH THERAPY FOR THE (COVID) DAY…

I have had such a wonderful time walking around the neighbourhood checking for flowers and trees that are used in these remedies, even Rock Water from a fast running stream (I have a choice of streams).

I have realised that I have done this all of my life, but I have never entirely used the information that is stored in my mind.  Now, with the Bach Therapies, I have a way to use and to share with you what I know, what I have learned, and what I am learning.  All helped by “the other side of course”.

ROCK WATER is a remedy on its own, but I like to use a little of this energy when collecting specimens although I stand them in the sun in collected rain water to complete the process.  The streams are so beautiful at the moment, bouncing and burbling over rocks, running especially full and fast after big rains..

ROCK WATER is a remedy for people who are repressed, who need to “get down off the cross” as we often say.  People who are martyrs to a cause.  I am sure in covid you will have recognised this thinking.  They are unable to change their minds no matter the good evidence and good direction is put in front of them.  They have very strict ideas, can be obsessive and their regimes can be directed towards diet, exercise, religion, a philosophy or whatever.  They are often depressed because they fail to live up to their own imposed standards, they are “candidates for sainthood” whilst still on earth.  Key to this remedy is the fact that Rock Water people are only interested in their own salvation.

This remedy can be used to encourage greater flexibility of mind.

I am sure you have seen these trees in bloom somewhere in your neighbourhood – we call them HORSE CHESTNUTS, but in the herbal repertoire they are called WHITE CHESTNUTS because they have white blooms… When you look at them close up the tiny flowers that make up the large cluster are like miniature orchids – quite beautiful.

White Chestnut is the remedy for those struggling with constant mental thoughts and arguments, the thoughts that go round and around in your head, and have no end.  The treadmill. This remedy is key in times like this when our mind may be full of worrying thoughts. It can be our own form of torture, especially if we feel helpless to move on.  No matter what the rational mind says the “monkey mind” keeps chattering. Worrying about catching Coronavirus is only natural, but sometimes the worry of this, and other aspects of this disease, can dominate our thought processes.

If you feel like this, locked inside your head, unable to think clearly about things in your life that really need to be accomplished,  then White Chestnut can help relieve these thoughts and help us to think clearly, although that may seem impossible right now.

These beautiful Bach Flower Remedies can do no harm.  They are made from the energy of the plant and work on emotions and moods.  If you want to know more about how this happens then please read THE MEMORY OF WATER by Dr.Emoto.  or any of the works by Dr.Edward Bach himself or his assistant of many years,  Nora Weeks.  You know me, I will shortly share what i know on Etsy, and I am available in the studio and zoom for personal consultations.

I am sending my information through to Instagram most every day.  If you want to see more, instagram me…. Also look at the drop- down on the home page of the website www.yogabeautiful.com.au.  “The Yoga of Herbs”.

I LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING YOU ON THE MAT

NAMASTE. JAHNE

Good morning Yogis,

It has been such a lovely weekend.  I bought a GINKO tree today.  I have wanted one for YEARS, but they are so expensive.  I have succumbed and bought it, now I have to inspire it to grow for me.  Chewing on a green leaf a day is said to improve cognitive health and I need as much of that as possible….  There is so much to do.

SCHEDULE
ZOOM: Monday 6.30 Teacher Training, Tuesday 7.30 CCP, Friday 6.45 Tarot.
STUDIO: Monday 1pm Yoga, Wednesday 1pm Yoga (full), Wednesday 5.30 Restorative, Friday 5.30 Hatha

SATURDAY 27TH,  STUDIO WORKSHOP – MANDALAS AND TEMPERATURE CHARTS. $55 1pm to 4pm –
This workshop is important in working our way forward with a better understanding of who we are, what affects us (in reality – not guesswork), and what to do next.  All art materials provided.  I hope you will be able to bring (your temperature charts), and some nibbles to share. This is our last art day at the studio before Christmas.  I will share my chart with you – I am sure that the accuracy and insights of this chart will surprise you. PLEASE RSVP as soon as you can..

Because we are right in the middle of the pandemic (we are nowhere near the end – there are heaps more challenges to come), I think it is prudent to be as responsible for your own health and future as you can be.  To that end, I am going to focus on herbal/Bach Remedies for Covid symptoms.  I will do one every newsletter and hope that you will take this opportunity to embrace this herbal remedy.  Today GORSE, mainly because this plant is blooming everywhere at the moment.  Remember not to pick from anywhere near where the council has sprayed, it is not a native and becomes invasive hence the spraying.  Plus if you need to go onto private property, ask the landowner first please.

I remember when we had an old German Homeopath in the district, the Late Dr.VonMoger (long dead).  He used to be seen out and about collecting the pollen from the gorse.  He had little vials and a fluffy small paint brush.  Of course he wore a white coat during this collection process, very professional, very German.   This pollen collection was a whole lot harder and more intricate than collecting the actual blooms which I do.

Gorse – Not to be mistaken with BROOM which looks somewhat similar but has long whippy branches (used for making bee skeps).   Gorse is very prickly as you can see in the photograph.

GORSE is the remedy for those who have given up belief or hope in life.  Easy to recognise in our community as a result of Covid lock-downs and restrictions.  This mindset gives up hope of feeling better.  In a Gorse state one doesn’t consider a way out, instead it is a negative personality succumbing to the negativity. For example, someone who has lost their job – or been made redundant and loses hope of a positive future. In a Gorse state we may want to curl up into foetal position,  stay in bed and give up on the day and everything in front of us, unable or unwilling to change how we feel.  Just accepting accepting defeat.  There are a number examples every day in the news… and I am sure you have people like this close by.

The Gorse remedy helps us to restore our faith in the future, and more than that, to find a way forward.  We can accept that there is a positive outcome waiting for us, and can walk forward to meet it.  Bach therapies deals with people, not diseases…

“The main reason for failure of modern medical science is that it is dealing with results and not causes” – Dr.Bach “Heal Thyself”.

I WILL SEE YOU ON THE MAT.
