DEAR YOGIS

Last evening in the black-out (not too bad, only a few hours), I managed to watch a movie I hadn’t seen in a while, and do preliminary sketches for a largish commission – Elephants and angels!  I think it is going to be terrific.  I also did the first sketch of a self-portrait for the Portrait exhibition in March at The Mt. Macedon Gallery.  I was so glad to be able to use the time constructively as i believe this is going to be a “usual” occurrence.  

When i was first travelling in India black-outs were the accepted norm – but the government has learned and changed, and they rarely happen now.  India relies on solid fuels although there has been a take-up of solar.  But they have the solid fuel back up whilst we are getting rid of our power stations with nothing to replace them.  I am a fan of low emission, modern power plants (even modern nuclear) as are being built in China –  as a back up to renewables.  Disagree if you will, but enjoy black-outs, because there are going to be more.

This coming Friday the 16th February at 5.30, join me at the LITTLE GALLERY OF SMALL THINGS.  Prints, cards, paintings and toys available.   Friday’s exhibition REPRISE will be a friendly get together some paintings are still on the easel (to replace those which are sold).  It is after all a working studio, not just an exhibition space.  I have been waxing these little angels and more – even a teeny Frida Kahlo collage on a tea bag!

ANGEL HEALINGS. I thought I might have an angel/sound-bath healing meditation in the studio, before I sell the angels…..   People who have the angels tell me they have healing power, well, if one has power, imagine a whole group of them!

THE GOD COLUMN WORKS – HAVE YOU GOT ONE?  The exhibition is certainly in my God column.  I have done all I can to invite you all, now its up to The Universe.  Whatever you ask for is on the way before it gets to you.   (If “God” is too hard for you, try “The Universe”, “Spirit”!).  Having said I have got the Exhibition Opening on the God Column – Please give Him/Her a hand and come along..

The large paintings of Collette, Krishna and the Krishna starburst are finished and available at this time also.  I am working on Angels….

THE YOGA LUNCHEON: Saturday 24th February,  at The Full Moon Saloon. Woodend at 12noon.

THANK YOU, THANK YOU THANK YOU TO ALL WHO CAME TO MY EXHIBIT….  Because some of you could not come, but would have like to I am having a re-run with some new paintings this coming Friday   the 16th February at 5.30, join me at the LITTLE GALLERY OF SMALL THINGS.  Prints, cards, paintings and toys available.

Thank you also for the girls who helped me with with our new EFTPOS SQUARE (challenging) when it decided not to co-operate, we managed and almost at the end it burst into life.  How good that was!   I think I got around all the little things one has to do at an opening, chatting, handing out champers, making sure everyone is heard, explaining the work… all those things.

PLEASE COME – THIS EVENING,  the 9th February at 5.30, my newest venture is opening… My LITTLE GALLERY OF SMALL THINGS.

I have been showing you the style of work I will be exhibiting, and now you can come see.  I won’t be showing the pieces in Etsy until after the opening to give you all a chance to pick up a piece for yourself.  The new work to the left is a Kintsugi image with the gold “repair” an outline of Mt.Macedon.

Friday’s exhibition will be a friendly get together (nothing challenging – you will know most folk, I haven’t yet advertised to the public!) of my yoga family friends, students, clients (yes, you can bring a friend or two and I hope you will), so you can see my new works – some will not be finished, it is after all a working studio, not just an exhibition space.
