Dear Yogis,

Our YOGA LUNCHEON was really great – sorry you were not there.

I have almost repeated the last newsletter with a few important changes.  As you have not acknowledged, and as I have hardly any feedback, I figured you hadn’t read it.  I pretty sure some of you have not.

I think the Hermit is definitely telling me something, and I hope that it is relevant to you.  I know that some of you are hurting in this recession of sorts, especially psychologists, yoga teachers, artists, and anyone else who is doing a job which is not deemed necessary (even dentists and doctors)…  People are pulling in their belts.  To see what is happening for you, read the tarot!   You can take charge of you.  If you do it every day, you will see how relevant it becomes – once is not enough.  It won’t cost, and only takes time, and discipline of course.

The spirit is knocking on my door. Actually knocking.  This behaviour started about 50 years ago.  When the knocking was first heard, my husband at the time rushed out, club in hand to chase the nuisance away and protect me – of course, no-one was there.    Since then, whenever Spirit wants my special attention they bang on the walls.  When they started it was like someone knocking loudly on the door, now it is more gentle, but still gets my attention as it will happen all over the house – wherever I am, and multiple times if I don’t stop and tune in.   If i don’t pay attention they will sit on the bed, or breathe in my ear which is most concerting.  It is much easier to pay attention.

Over the last few weeks I have been splitting my time between fashion and tarot.  Obviously this is not acceptable at the moment, and spirit it letting me know.  I have started with my own reading and the first card that emerged was The Hermit.  Appropriate.

NOTE TO SELF:   The Hermit did not become wise simply from reading books, but by taking the time to understand himself on the deepest levels. This card is telling you that there is a light within you that can guide you along your path – Whatever you think is more important, take some time to strip away the thoughts and feelings that are obscuring your clarity. Meditation will help you today.

So, if you have spirit talking to you, and you think it is time for a tarot reading, and/or a past life tarot reading, please let me know.  I prefer to do the tarot reading in person at the studio if that is possible – and I can only do the past life reading via email as it takes such a lot of research, and a lot of reporting to you.  The Tarot reading is $85 and the Past Life Reading $250.  In the PLR I will give every indication of…

  1. Your birth (in a SIGNIFICANT” LIFE – one which has made an impact on the now)  where and when and if possible, and to whom.
  2. Gender
  3. Location: Terrain? Climate? Location on a map if this is possible.
  4. Time
  5. Events: One experience at least which affected the life considerably
  6. Emotion: Personality and events and people in their life
  7. Theme: The theme of the life – charity, wealth, health etc?
  8. Death: Where, when and how.
  9. Lessons learned
  10. How the past life effects this life.

If I am speaking to you , please email me for an appropriate time and we will go from there.  yogafirst2@bigpond.com

Dear Yogis,

Vale Barry Humphries and Barry Humphries who both died recently.  What will we do without them?  They were both genius in their field.  The only person in the media we really have left from that era is Philip Adams.  Please Philip, don’t give up – We need you!  As an “aside”, there seem to be a number of deaths which happen during or as a result of hip surgery.  Are too many being done, are they practiced on people who are not up to the rigours of this surgery?  There are successes, but then there are a lot of failures, and there seem to be number of deaths.  The stats would be interesting.

THE LUNCHEON:   Don’t forget.  New class on Sunday (make a note in your diary) and THIS SATURDAY coming up is the YOGA LUNCHEON at 1pm at “The Lone Wolf Saloon, High Street, Woodend.

DESIGNER MENDING and Making for the exhibitions……
I have been working hard to keep up with the sewing that is needed.  If you research King Charles, you will see that he is “The Patron Saint of Patches”.  His clothing is always patched and mended.  It appears that he doesn’t keep up with the work needed… but his clothes are worn (by him) until all that is left is the seams.  Even his shoes show repairs on the uppers as well as the soles.

I had a time of great joy on Sunday when my orange jacket was worn to church to great acclaim.  It is not often I see the result of my hard work worn in conspicuous places, and receiving interest and congratulations…  I miss it sitting on my dress form as I could see it whilst I worked.  It didn’t stay there very long I must say, and sold in short time. I did think I would exhibit it, but was overjoyed to get the sale.  One of my clients asked when I was going to do a workshop to show others these skills – easy answer – I AM NOT.  You need patience and passion, and I don’t meet many people with either.

Whilst I complete mending and making  for clients, I am trying to work on pieces for my exhibition in July (Wearable Art Exhibition, Jubilee Hall, 15th July at 1pm to 4).  In order to do the required number  I need to do one item per week.  I have on the drawing board and in various stages of being done….   1. denim shorts, top and jacket, 2. evening ensemble, 3. trousers and top, 4. Japanese styled ensemble and 5. embroidered coat.  All of these repurposed fashion – interesting, trendy.    I always overload myself.
