WOODEND ART STUDIO GROUP

Come along to our studio meetups to improve your art in a relaxed and social atmosphere (Champers or Waterfords and nibbles for those who imbibe), and under the guidance of a professional instructor. Complete beginners to experienced artists all welcome.

Our 2 hour meetups are held in a different location each time, usually outdoors to capture the subject of our drawings/paintings – you can sketch or photograph – and finishing in the studio.

Bring your own materials which can be anything from pencils or pastels, to watercolour or oils. If you are a complete beginner all you need to start are a couple of good drawing pencils, a rubber, and a drawing pad. 

Who can attend? Open to all skill levels, from beginners to experienced artists. The instructor is there to help everyone.

The meeting point and full details for the day are sent in the booking confirmation email to the email address you provide at time of booking. Our meetups and classes are limited to a max of 8 people

HAPPENING IN DECEMBER

Botanical Ink & Wash
Saturday 13th December
Morris Road Studio. 10am – 2 Hours

A fusion of expressive ink marks with delicate watercolour washes.
Study leaves, flowers, and natural forms to create organic compositions.

Join us for an exciting artistic journey where you’ll learn to combine the precision of line drawing with the fluidity of watercolour washes. Learn various techniques using pens, markers, and pencils – contour drawing and cross-hatching. You’ll also learn to blend colours, control water flow, and infuse your artwork with depth and expression. Reserve your spot now!

Holiday Card Painting Workshop
Saturday 20th December
Morris Road Studio 10am – 2 hours

Design and paint your own holiday cards using quick, repeatable layouts and festive motifs. We’ll explore colour palettes, simple lettering, and finishing touches so you leave with ready-to-post cards, simple florals, and playful lettering. We’ll keep designs beginner-friendly and show quick ways to personalise each card.
