TAROT TRAINING CLASSES

Our first for this year finished on Saturday.  I have been asked for another, and have decided on March 14th, 21st and 28th.  Three weeks is hardly enough time, but will give you the skills you need to start your journey.  You will receive a Revelation Tarot Deck as part of the course.  During the last course we studied pendulums and used them, dowsing, and of course various tarot concentrating on The Revelation Tarot…..

To enrol, go to www.mytarot.moonfruit.com.  Go to the training course application, download it,  fill it in, scan and send it to me.  Direct Debit the training fee, fill in your credit card number and we will deduct the fee from your account, or bring the fee with you in cash (plus the application form fully completed) when you come.

I will also be holding an eight week Diploma course in Tarot and Divination later in the year.

*If you have done a tarot course with me recently and wish to repeat, the cost is $95.  You are sure to learn something new – no two courses are exactly the same.  You will be able to read effectively and confidently for yourself or others after this short course.

February 16 To March 9: Mercury Retrograde In Pisces (Ending In Aquarius)

I am not an astrologer, but I subscribe, and read heaps,  because I am interested (if only there weren’t so many books, and ephemera needed to make a good calculation I would work harder on charts!).  Astrologers  all tell me that “Mercury is in retrograde”.  What does that mean?

From February to March, Mercury is in its detriment in Pisces, which means it is challenged here.  In plain speak, Mercury has to work a lot differently than usual, and will speak to you in poetry, energy, dreams and symbols.  We tarot readers can acknowledge astrology, and use it to get a more accurate, personal reading.  Everything is connected to everything.  What are your dreams telling you during this time?  Mine are incredible, full of meaning.  Please remember to use your tarot DAILY because you could need to find an imaginative or spiritual solution to an everyday problem.  Have your board, your deck your pendulum out and where you can use them.

Because things are not as they seem,   meditate daily to make sure you start each day with a clean slate..   I am sure you have noticed that in this astrological period,  misunderstandings can occur more easily, so be aware of jumping to conclusions.

This is not a “forever” movement of the planet and Mercury will slip back into Aquarius once March 4 rolls around.  This of course will help to lighten the mood towards the end of this retrograde cycle.  Remember what you were doing this time last year – February will be a gentler repeat.

THE THREE MARYS COME HOME.

After my last exhibition about 2 years or so ago, the balance of my paintings were taken with the ex-owners goods as they left “early” and in a hurry.  I was told that holding the paintings would be returned within the week, but I have been told that before.  It is another version of “the cheque is in the mail”.  I wasn’t desperate, but one of the paintings of The Three Marys is now needed for a tarot deck I am making.

I had asked the Universe for the paintings before, but last Wednesday I made a special plea “I would like all of the paintings please God, but if you can only deliver one, then the one of the Three Marys is especially needed to complete the Magdalen (Three Marys) Tarot”.  I made the prayer, and during the yoga class that day, the paintings were returned – all of them.  How good is that!  Now I can move forward with the new deck.  There is a God.

 

THE MT.MACEDON YOGA LUNCH – no need to book.  Just come.

This will happen at 12.30 on Friday the 28th February, at The Mt.Macedon hotel as usual.

The 29th (the Saturday) is the last day of February making this year  a leap year, so we girls can ask the boys for their hand in marriage.  In the USA the 29th was called “Sadie Hawkins Day” and this was THE day.  So if there is a special someone who hasn’t yet popped the question, and you are ‘Waity Katy” (as Catherine was called whilst she was waiting to be asked by William) you can lead the parade on Saturday!

Hi there aficionados, 

I have been handing out bags of green walnuts to you all for the last month, hoping that like me you will pickle them (they are so easy).  Bottles of these treasures are exceedingly expensive, don’t know why.

They probably don’t look gorgeous to you, but to me, this is a treasure.  They are drying in the sun – they go black which is why they are called BLACK PICKED WALNUTS..  Next step, is to pop them into jars with pickling spices and then just try to leave them alone for about a month or so until the spices seep into the flesh.  They are wonderful with cheese and biscuits…  If any of you haven’t pickled yours yet (maybe don’t have the few moments it takes), you can always hand them back – I can use them for Walnut Sauce.  This sauce was mentioned in the novels of Charles Dickens.  It was highly prized even then.  If you have a walnut tree, please bring a big bag of green walnuts for me – the ones about the size of a small plum, very green and hard.  You can always leave them on my doorstep.

The next “exotic” nut to come along will be acorns.  Because I will have lots of parsley greens, dandelions and lots of borage to make tabbouleh I will use acorn grits instead of cracked wheat.  Easier to obtain, and much tastier – but first you have to make it!  “Gather ye acorns whilst ye may”!

LUNCH AT MT.MACEDON HOTEL.

I have made a booking for the first of our lunches for 12.30 (not 12 noon) at Mt.Macedon Hotel on the 28th of February.  So get out your fancy hats and come along.  Everyone welcome.  I have booked in what they call “The Garden Room” in the summer (it is “next to the fire” in the winter).  I am looking forward to seeing you all again, even if you don’t get along to the yoga class.  Can you bring boyfriends/husbands.  Sure.  Children/Grandchildren – I would rather you didn’t.  We go to lunch to remove ourselves from these responsibilities Yes?   See you there.  No need to book, no need to email.  Just come along.  It is quite informal.

YOGA classes

All my classes are on the web site.  Please remember that the 10 class passes are CONSECUTIVE.  That means that even if you don’t come, you still pay.  It is the only way I can offer such good prices – I have expenses too.  If you know you won’t be regular, pay by the week, and hope that your class doesn’t fill with pass holders who have paid for their place up front.

PENDULUMS and THOSE WHO HAVE “CROSSED OVER”.

I have been making pendulums, doing tarot/pendulum classes, and have recently done a “John Edwards” when a client asked me to help her contact a relative who had “passed on or crossed over” .  They are euphemisms, we could say “died” but we usually don’t.  It was very a interesting experience.  I had done this for myself, but I had rarely opened this up for others, except when it happened spontaneously.  Doing this way means that if they have another language it doesn’t matter – we all speak the same one. The first one I did was for a Dutch lady, which was great fun.    So, if you want to have a conversation with someone who was near and dear to you, come see me.  We will both learn something.

PENDULUM/DOWSING MEET-UPS

I would like to meet once a month to network and learn from people who are dowsers, or who want to learn.  I thought a Tuesday evening between 7 and 9pm once a month would be terrific.  Please email if you would like to join me at the yoga studio in Morris Road, and which Tuesday in the month would be suitable on a regular basis.  First, Second etc….

MORE TAROT…

Nine years ago I started studying Mary Magdalen.  What a great gal.  Not a sinner, not a prostitute – a fantastic teacher, apostle, wife, and the person who organised the funding for The Jesus ministry… what could He have done without her.  Nothing nearly so well.

It is so hard to study her because the Church has needed to keep her subservient.  There are fabulous paintings of her,  even pregnant, however, I found only one important painting of her teaching.

As there were THREE Marys – Mary Magdalen, Mary the Mother of Jesus and Mary his sister (True!), I have decided to include them in the tarot, as it seems they were often together with the other women. I will keep you updates as I move along with this project. It is much bigger than I planned.

 

THE FIRES:

It is still raining, and goes from warm to chill.  It is beautiful weather and I am forever grateful to the Universe for looking after us in this way. I did buy the soaker hose to keep the deck wet in case of fire, and will keep on adding things to the fire conscious effort to make the house less “flammable”.

 

CHAIR YOGA:

Has started, and I am so pleased.  It will take a while to get people organised.  I have been asked what does “chair” mean.  Is it a Tibetan word??? No.  It is English. Maybe I should have used a difficult other-wordly word.  Just for Romance?

 

TAROT READING CLASSES: 

The two hours we spend discovering the tarot just fly by.  I try to encourage my students to rely on their intuition rather than their MINDS, and I believe we are succeeding.  Just having 22 cards as the major arcana, and 13 minors is so much easier, and allows the reader to fly.

I am holding a second class in March.  As in the last one, we will be exploring dowsing.

HEALING SICK HOUSES (and exorcisms of sorts) is something that can be achieved with Dowsing Rods and/or pendulum, and is a subject we will be touching on.  ENERGY SAVING around the home is another subject.

Thank you all those students who have re-registered.  We did get a couple of students who dismissed the whole idea, and that is their point of view HOWEVER, I view this as a way for you to keep contact with us, to support us, and demonstrate that you respect and are grateful for the qualifications you achieved through us.

The journal pages to help you are on Etsy.  They match the to-do things I encourage you to journal every day to complete your yoga teacher training,  They can be totaled and used to compile your passport, which is s stumbling block for some students, but necessary to get better marks at the end of the course.  No Passport? No distinction!  Simple.

 

MASSAGE:

Busy, busy but there is always room for you.  Please email me to book.  As in the tarot – my heart, my intuition leads.  I do not do massage “by the book”.  My advice?  First, EAT THE BOOK.

 

PAST LIFE CONSULTATIONS: Lets travel to the past or to the future.  Just let me know when you would like to do it.  Remember you will need 2 hours.  I do this for myself, and it helps enormously, although I am still working out what my per elephant REALLY means.

Yoga $20 per Class Or  CLASS PASS – $135 per 10 CONSECUTIVE classes (students of the studio for 3 years or more).   New students: $165 per 10 class pass (normally $200)  After 3 years as a student, the cheaper rate will apply.

MONTHLY TEACHER TRAINING AT THE HOME STUDIO:

DATE of the next Teacher Training:   Sunday 1st March,  2pm to 4pm  at my home studio (37 Morris Road in Woodend. There is no need to book. Bring writing materials, and be early. If you are a Yoga Teacher Training student then the cost of the afternoon is $20.  This fee applies to everyone. (Visitors are welcome – even those not yet in teacher training – $30).   Subject:  Nauli. Pre-Natal.

 

BENDIGO Teacher Training classes The Next class is 1st Tuesday in April at 3.30pm. Crusoeden Health.  Turn at the Metricon building on the highway in Kangaroo Flat just up from Bunnings on the same side.

 

PARKING HOME STUDIO – 37 Morris Road, Woodend. 

If you come to my home studio for yoga or massage or anything – Please, Please – Park on white gravel in front of the studio.  I had it made especially so that it would be easier for you! If there is no room, then park in the drive-way directly opposite. Not in front of neighbours driveways, on the road, or on nature-strips please.
