Dear Yogis,

ART:    I have been drawing, drawing, and have worked with things I started some time ago – an image of my Rhododendrons, and they were very beautiful this year.

This drawing (muti-media)  is made on a canvas 8inches x 8 inches, so quite small but not a miniature which has to be no larger than 4 inches square.  I think it will be put on line for $210 which includes packaging and posting.  Prints will be available for $110 which will also include postage and packaging, with the artwork ready to frame, posted flat with a core board backing.

And, I sold another painting on Friday – I wish I was charging thousands.  I used to but I am not there yet this time around.  When prices go up and they are, it takes the value of everything up with it.  So thank you to all those who have invested in my work, it will be worthwhile.  I just have to keep painting and selling!

YOGA:  I gave a free pelvic/core class on Saturday with the emphasis on balance and strength.  It was really worthwhile and built on the classes I gave during the previous week.  I just needed to push it that little bit further and spend the whole hour just on one thing.  I am sorry I could not accommodate all of you! it would have been most worthwhile.  I probably do it again when I have time.

Dear Yogis,

I wouldn’t tell you this, if I hadn’t let you know for years that I tell you everything (even my confusions).

This morning in my reading getting ready for tonites (Monday) zoom, and my meditation I had a revelation, an epiphany.  I had always known that the Divine in its form of God is Cosmic Intelligence.  – this is made clear that consciousness as such is formless, quality-less, infinite and eternal.  Interestingly, most Hindu schools of thought see the entire manifest cosmos, including all matter and beings as FEMININE.

I have always acknowledged this intellectually, but I have never felt it, but this morning I DID, and things changed.  The Mother and I connected (for want of another word), and I have settled back down into my “job” – yoga.  In order to truly settle I need to engage with you all, and I have decided to do this my doing a monthly mail out like I used to in the old days, except this time I will illustrate my mail.

Here is what I plan….

MANTRA MAIL:   This is our newest gift to you.  For just $15 for one month, two months for $28 and three months for $35.

Each month,  subscribers (you) will receive

  1. *A hand signed original ready-to-frame print approximately 5inch x 7inch print,
  2. depending on the size of the original (remember I do paint art in miniature)
  3. *A letter from me!
  4. *A recipe relating to the miniature I have painted, or the season – relative to the yoga of herbs (or the herbs of yoga)
  5. *and other surprises that come to hand during the month – yoga, art, recipes, everything I am interested in….
  6. *INCLUDING THE OCCASIONAL GUEST ARTIST PRINT!!

This isn’t just an original, ready-to-frame print.. this letter will brighten your day, surprise and delight – it’s you connecting to me,  and taking a peek into my artistic life.   You will also have a recipe based on the print.  We will also speak of its therapeutic properties, and maybe a yoga pose that relates to the action of this herb.

At only $15 a month, this is an affordable way to either continue your collection of my work at an affordable cost, or start your new collection, or start a recipe/herb collection.  We don’t lock you in to a contract and you can stop OR RENEW at any time.

Dear Yogis,

I miss you and have to rethink “what to do”?  During covid I called my blog WILD AND WEEDY, and had a surprising number of followers, even for the blog about “how to rip up a sheet” which was in answer to what to do if one couldn’t get toilet paper.  In these troubled times a very good blog might about the lack of petrol and how to make your own, but I can’t help you with that.   I have for some time envisaged that food security would be an issue, and I suggest that we all take this issue seriously, but apart from inviting you to my garden I can’t help you with that, and you are welcome to chat.

Right now we are in the middle of an information war.  Albanese and Trump say all will be well, but Barnaby Joyce seems to be more concerned with everyday Australians – how are we going to get to work, how will the producers get food to our tables and so on – the cost of living.  Answer let’s do more yoga and make more art!

ART – I actually have a lot on my plate at the moment, what difference will one more thing make!!  it might tip me over the edge, but I don’t think so.  I want to make an ART JOURNAL (maybe more than one) and I think I will call it “THE GARDEN DREAMINGS”.  That name contains within it lots of references to books, poems and gardens I love, and of course “dreamings”, one of my very favourite pastimes.  .   I’ ll will let know when it is out of the “dreamings” stage and is a fully formed reality.
