Dear Yogis,

As you read this, we will be just going in to our ZOOM YOGA CAFE.  If we can’t get together in real life, in the studio, we do will be friends on-line.  No cuddling, but lots of laughs.  Put the date in your diary for next week, bring your coffee and knitting, a book to show, and something to share.

Change is a natural part of everyday life.  A loss in life – in our case a loss of freedom,  of spontaneity – can lead to a greater gain, for instance, a closed heart, a broken heart can lead to the opportunity for an open heart.

Personal healing occurs as we move through our various experiences without labelling them as balanced or unbalanced, comfortable or disturbing, and release the myth (the idea given to us by those around us) that our educated brain knows more than our body’s own healing mechanisms. (Speaking of healing.  I have noticed that companies are promoting products with Reishi Spore Oil as an ingredient.  As you know, we were one of the first to promote this immune system enhancer.  We have the concentrated oil which you can add to anything yourself. Ask me).

It is unfortunate that we may have to experience the “uncomfortable” (even disease) in order to release the feelings inside of us.  Eventually they will come to the surface. A high fever for example helps to release blocked energy.  It increases circulation, stimulates white cell production, enhances immunity and promotes the elimination of toxins. Coughing and sneezing (very difficult to do at the moment with our masks on) is the body’s way of cleaning out the respiratory system. Pain is a direct message to alert us to stop doing what we are currently doing and modify our behaviour.

Chaotic and unwanted events can have a positive impact on our life.  Change can re-direct our journey towards greater self discovery, wider perspectives, and the beginning of new,  exciting friendships and new ways to live our life.

HEALING IS NOT ALWAYS WHAT WE THINK IT IS.

AFFIRMATION:  I rejoice in the miracle of being who I am. I celebrate the flow of life wherever it takes me and  am nurtured by change.  I embrace both order and chaos in my life and I trust the flow wherever it takes me.

JOIN ME IN A GREAT DAY –  HAPPY FOR NO GOOD REASON.

NAMASTE.  JAHNE

Dear Yogis,

I have been “entertained” by Telstra the last couple of days.  I needed to expand my internet capacity so I could keep zooming more, and the bill I get doesn’t tell me how much I use.  It must be “secret squirrel” stuff.  Anyway three days later with what they call their “ways to serve me better” and getting nowhere I said to God… “Please God, I have to talk to Telstra today.  Please help me to be patient, kind, and understanding – in return I would like to speak to a real person who speaks English as a first language”.  Guess what, I dialled, and I got exactly that.  I had a lovely time.  I am not entirely sure I wanted the super terrific upgrade and the complications that arose with it, even if they gave me a great price which they said they did..  But it is all happening.  So, I will keep you posted.

I did explain to the lovely young persons (more than one) who helped me, that the last time I had an upgrade my email/internet/phone were off-line for five weeks!  He said “that couldn’t happen now”.  We shall see.  Another word to God could help, speaking to Telstra may not.

I am having great fun with zoom, and the reason I went to Telstra is I want to get better and better at giving you the classes you want, and the best quality I can manage.  If there are any other classes you would like.  Please let me know.

FREE SUNDAY MORNING CLASS:  I have decided that if you did a Sunday morning Teacher Training class and paid for the class, you can have the following Sunday morning class which is on the same subject FREE as a refresher.   That means that you could have two Teacher Training Classes per month and two free repeat classes per month if you pay for two.

The back of the cards..

My TEA LEAF READING cards are looking SPECTACULAR.  That’s the only word I can use.  They are the best cards I have ever done, and I hope that you take the plunge and buy a set, then do the classes with me.  The kit will include the cards, a booklet, a mini-poster and a pouch.  I am sending them in the pouch not a box because this will cut down the postage cost, but won’t help if you want you cards sent registered mail…

They are being printed in the next week or so, slower because of staff shortages, staff rosters and covid.  But you can be sure I will let you know when they arrive.  You can forward order a copy, and if you do that, I will pay the Australian standard postage as my gift to you.  I think the cost of the cards will be almost the same as the REVELATION TAROT already on the market – $69.85 plus postage…

ZOOM:  The next Tuesday 7.30pm talk will be on CHAKRAS.  Saturday our TAROT group gets together at 2pm and Next Sunday at 10am we are repeating last Saturdays lecture on PURUSHATRAS.   Don’t miss the ZOOM YOGA CAFE on Friday at 11am – bring a coffee/tea and something for “Show & Tell”.

I look forward to seeing you on my ZOOM  offerings…

Keep in mind I still have my trainer wheels on.

NAMASTE.  JAHNE

Dear Yogis,

Last night, Tuesday night, we considered IDA, PINGALA, AND SUSHUMNA.  Not to define or describe them fully (who could???), but to develop an understanding.

To do this we have to look at the chakras and we will be hovering over all things chakra for some time.  We started with the physical – the cerebrospinal system (Hypermobility), now we are looking at the nadis, and these are linked to the Chakras.  I was not sure which to study first, but I am happy we chose the nadis.  Especially as we consider them in the course under the name meridians, and also as the three spinal nadis.

So, if you want to know more about the “mystical” aspects of your yoga, you might like to make Tuesday evenings a priority.

Awakening the chakras is a process which must be experienced if the soul is to evolve and enlightenment is to be reached.  One of the Upanishads says that one cannot reach enlightenment without understanding and recognising the chakras, and my experience bears this out (although. I am not enlightened).

Whichever chakra awakens first differs from person to person.  This is due to our karma, our nature, and the difficulties we have. Over-activating or overworking  the paranormal abilities by concentrating one one chakra is likely to cause disease in the internal organs associated with that chakra.  In all things,  BALANCE.

Satyananda recommends that the yogis first attempt to activate AJNA before any other chakra.  His reason for this is that Ajna has the ability to dissolve karma, in this way it lessens the the possibility of danger which may arise when the lower chakras are activated.

Originally the Sanskrit root of AJNA means “to command”. I have always been taught that Ajna is the command centre.  It is located where the three nadis join to form a single passage which continues up to the Sahasrara.  Part of the life force collects there, the rest is dispersed throughout the physical, astral and causal bodies.

To find out more, enrol in our Tuesday evening sessions.  They are “enlightening”.

Please mark in your diary the Sunday morning 10am repeat of our lesson on the PURUSHATRAS.  Two hours is not nearly long enough, but I am sure is enough to get you off the sofa and at the very least into Dr.Google.

I do really have to charge for our sessions (wish I didn’t). However,  I try to keep the cost down.  My charges are $85 for a tarot or other consultation of 1 hour duration,   and $75 for 4 yoga sessions.. The lectures are $20 for a two hour teacher training and $35 for three shorter Tuesday night lectures.

WHAT YOU CAN DO?  If you are working, or “independently wealthy”, or just want to help, you could purchase an extra seat in yoga or the lectures for a friend, or one of the students who is doing it tough, and there are students out there you could assist.

I LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING YOU IN THE ZOOM STUDIO.

NAMASTE – JAHNE
