SATURDAY:  12.30 RESTORATIVE YOGA   2pm THE TAO OF WATERCOLOUR – THE TAROT
SUNDAY:  10am YOGA PHILOSOPHY – YOGA AND THE BHAGAVADGITA.

Last Night I worked into the wee smalls on a new Pendulum Board.  It has a white wolf as the central illustration… I think it is beautiful.  Unfortunately there is a lot of gold which won’t show up as beautifully in the printing, but you will see the metallic glow. Lots of Buddhist Icons, Tibetan mandalas… I am not sure what will come next but I do know it will be a fabulous board.  The photograph on the left is of the board, unfinished.  When it is finished I will put it in our STORE on the www.yogabeautiful.com.au site with new pendulums.  I am also going to initiate a PENDULUM GROUP, AND NETWORK.  Keep watching, keep zooming….  Please let me know if you are interested in this direction yogafirst2@bigpond.com.  It isn’t new, I just haven’t put it up front before.

Would you like to know how to make one for yourself?... we are progressing in our classes towards making a board like this for yourself.  It takes time, but is not difficult.  Just the thought.. the imagination and everything flows from that, and we are building the imagination.

Do you have a Pendulum?  The language of the pendulum is used to lift the veil between past present and future, and the message of the reading we receive in response to our question seems often to probe far beyond our immediate concern.  We are frequently told not only how events are likely to take a particular course, but also something about the factors which have contributed to and will continue to effect the future as it unfolds.

A pendulum is more than useful indicator of the future, it is also a helpful friend/advisor in times of doubt or confusion, even in small things like “which vitamins are helpful this morning?”, “how many, when?”  The message we receive enables us to proceed in greater confidence in the light of that knowledge.

The pendulum can be used by anyone, it requires no specialised knowledge or training – just patience…you don’t have to act on the message you receive, but it helps to work out what will be best in the moment.

Astrology and other modes of divination required years of study which put them out of the reach of most students… The pendulum requires patience and perseverance.  For straightforward simplicity there are few systems linking mind to matter to date that could compete with the pendulum.

SATURDAY: 12.30 RESTORATIVE YOGA  2pm MAKING YOUR TAROT
SUNDAY: 10am STUDY TIME. The Bhagavadgita – “The ‘Gita and Yoga” (Repeat of last week.  If you were at last weeks class, this week is free.  If you were NOT at last weeks class, then the class is $20 for 2 hours).

I have been speaking to you about my painting journey at this time.  I have been moving between the TAO OF WATERCOLOUR, and making a new pendulum board based on ancient power rituals.  In the process I have been reminded of my teacher ANDRE SOLLIER a Sumi Painter of note, and a ZEN ARCHER . This archery was his meditation.

Aiming the arrow at the target is the essence of aiming it at yourself.  So, learning the skill of archery is also learning the skill of self discovery.  We seek our centre of calm, listening to the inner voice and learning a keenness of vision.  We master the undisciplined flow of our hands, arms, shoulders and eyes.  We work with them, understanding the energy, mastering it.  It is this mastery, this stillness which can bring us closer to our selves.  Watching someone who understands this, paint or shoot an arrow is beautiful.  We are watching spirit in action.

This is the purpose of all spiritual disciplines.  When we pray, when we meditate even when we fast, we create a feeling of spaciousness, openness which brings us to “the One”..  This is a special kind of broad attention.  This change of attention brings us closer to the sacred.

This also happens when we paint in The Way of the Tao.  Grinding the ink takes time and allows us to calm the mind.  When the ink is ready we bring to mind the image we are going to paint,  and imagine it on the paper.  We sit and breathe until everything is right,  then bring the breath, the ink and brush and the paper together.

When you do this,  the stroke is beautiful, no hesitancy, the spirit is there.

In Sumi that is what is revered.  Not the perfection of the image, but the presence of spirit.
