DEAR YOGIS,

It is amazing, I have had three art sales in the last days.  The stag painting sold, and two small framed pen and ink studies in the way of Beatrix Potter sold one after the other – even more pleasing because they sold to people who just were browsing in the gallery.  

I have four almost ready to frame and replace those that have sold – another Brer Rabbit,  a duck like Jemima Puddle-duck, and a fox in a beautiful French tailored jacket, and a mouse who is tailor (after the tailor of Gloucester).  They will soon be available at The Mount MacedonGallery, together with matching greeting cards.

WORKSHOP.  I have a doll workshop in the studio on the 21st of this month.  You will learn to make little dolls like Horus, maybe not as big, but you will have a pattern so you can replicate any size once you learn the tips and tricks.  Email me for a place.  There were only 5 places and now only two are left.  1pm to 4pm, and only $75.  No experience required, no machine required, and you will be making dolls before Christmas…

TAROT AND PAST LIVES:  If you want appointments for either of these please email me and set a time to suit.  I guess I am channelling all things Egypt because one of the past lives this week featured and Initiation Ceremony.  It was quite interesting and I am looking forward to the follow up.

YOGA CLASS in NORMA RICHARDSON hall.  Chi(chair)Yoga Wednesdays starting at 10am.  This is a mixed class.  Students with Chair, Wheelchair, Wheelies, walking sticks all welcome.

ZOOM YOGA PHILOSOPHY CLASSES AS USUAL :  Mondays, 6.30  – don’t miss them.

TEACHER TRAINING MONTHLY CLASS. Sunday the 28th September at 2.30.  If you can come to the yoga lunch beforehand,  that would be terrific.

YOGA MONTHLY LUNCH: Sunday – 28th September at 12 noon The Victoria Hotel (hardly anything else is open for lunch) at 12 noon.   It is quieter then, and if there are enough of us we can get the room at the back, although I do like an ordinary table rather than the big table and lately we have scored the big table near the front windows.

A disturbing weekend with warning of extreme weather, and me up at the Mt.Macedon Gallery.  I well expected to come home to a flooded house, but no, the pit and the pump are working beautifully thanks to Andrew Jan my fabulous plumber, he said he dreamt of pumps and he has proved his worth.

DOLLS:  I am nearly completed little Horus (photo to left).  I named him Horus after the God, because he is an interesting character, born with many things to achieve, advantages and disadvantages as we all are.  There are seven little scrolls attached to the front of the tunic representing the chakras…. his challenge to go clear.

 I turned up this “tale” on Reddit.. about JESUS AND HORUS
The “Jesus story” is a lot older than 325 AD when Emp. Constantine had religion entrepreneurs vote on what should or shouldn’t be in the Bible (read about the First Council of Nicea and the punishment for violating that Council’s edicts). History tells us that the “life” of the Egyptian deity, Horus, was plagiarized in establishing the Christian religion. Although Horus did not have 12 “disciples”, Horus had 12 “harpooners”. Both Horus and Jesus were baptized by an individual (Jesus by John, Horus by Anup) who was subsequently beheaded. Horus was betrayed by Typhon which led to his death. Jesus betrayed by Judas. Just like Mithras and Dionysus (other “Gods”), Horus and Jesus were the products of a God and a unique mating with a human female, ergo the “virgin birth”. Both rose from the dead, Both were the son of God and were capable of “miracles”. Both expressed the same views as stated in the Sermon of the Mount (re morality and justice). Horus was worshipped by Egyptians for thousands of years just before the alleged birth of Christ. Horus was known as KRYST and Jesus as the Christ.

This week my project is to get everything I can on Etsy.

SPIRIT DOLLS (Angel Spirits)   What’s on offer here?  My mission is to work with women in transition whose roles and identities no longer fit and urgently want to connect to their true selves. One of the best ways to experience the magic of dolls is to make one yourself and I am about to offer courses here where you can do that.   Another way is to purchase healing dolls and you can see some of those on Etsy and soon my gallery page on this web site – I am moving all my dolls to here to make it easier.  My hope is to offer here a channel for beginning to find your true self through the modality of healing dolls as I have .

It goes without saying that my yoga classes are still my yoga classes, and you are always welcome, especially the zoom  at 6.30 on Mondays. It is all about healing and finding our true selves – yoga or dolls – I learn so much when I make a doll for me or for someone else. .
